General Hospital Spoilers: Tuesday, January 10 Recap – Willow’s Leukemia Forces Carly’s Reveal – Bio Mom’s Unwelcome Visit

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 10, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) confronted Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about why she didn’t want to find Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth parents.

All the clues had started piling up, so Carly confessed to sabotaging Drew’s investigation. After Carly came clean about paying off Denise McKenzie (Alex Rietveld) and hiding the info on Josiah, Drew lashed out at her.

This wasn’t Carly’s call to make, but she argued that she was trying to protect Willow and that she made the decision before she got together with Drew.

Once Drew said Willow’s biological family could give her things that they couldn’t, he blurted out that Willow had leukemia.

Carly realized Willow needed a bone marrow donor match, so she tearfully admitted to Drew that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was Willow’s birth mother.

At Nina’s apartment, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) showed her the medical paperwork that revealed Willow had leukemia. Nina realized Willow was in stage 4 since she chose to delay her treatment due to her pregnancy.

That left Nina worried about Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) losing the only mother he’d ever known. Although Nina assumed selfish Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) might’ve influenced Willow’s decision, Sonny felt that all this infighting had to stop for Willow’s sake.

At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) place, he comforted Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) over her survivor’s guilt and felt that she owed it to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to live the best life she could.

Josslyn made love to Dex before getting updates via text from Sonny, who wanted to see her. That left Josslyn furious since she assumed this was about her connection to Dex.

After Josslyn got dressed in a hurry, she said she was going to Sonny’s office and that she’d tell him whoever she wanted to see was none of his business.

While Dex left Michael a voicemail about having a problem, Josslyn arrived to see Sonny and made it crystal clear that she was going to live her life how she chose to.

At the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow got emotional during family time with Wiley and Michael.

Once Michael put Wiley to bed, he consoled Willow since she feared her gamble would take her away from her family.

Willow wondered how Michael didn’t hate her, but he assured her that he never could.

Although Michael wished Willow had shared her diagnosis sooner, he understood why she didn’t and respected her choice.

Michael promised that he’d never regret a day with Willow – nor would he regret making her Wiley’s mother.

No matter what happened, Wiley would never forget the love that Willow had given him.

Michael told Willow that he would love her for the rest of his life as they shared an emotional kiss.

After Michael took a weakened Willow to bed, Nina showed up at the door and needed to talk to Michael about her grandson.

At GH, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) asked Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) if she thought her lawyer was any good and questioned if she should trust him.

There was talk about Esme needing to figure out where she’d been hiding so she would have an alibi.

Liz felt confident that Esme’s memories would return since traumatic memory loss was usually temporary.

As for Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), Liz assured Esme that he was a terrific attorney who could indeed be trusted.

Laura Collins (Genie Francis) checked in with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) outside Esme’s room and advised him not to confront her due to the baby. However, Spencer insisted on going in and got Laura to approve his visit.

Esme showed no signs of recognizing Spencer, but she thanked him when he admitted he saved her along with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

After Esme asked if Spencer could help her with an alibi, he admitted he couldn’t.

Spencer delivered the news that he knew Esme better than anyone in Port Charles and went to boarding school with her in France.

Esme wondered if Spencer really thought she did all that crazy stuff and was taken aback to learn they once dated.

When Esme asked if her baby could be Spencer’s, he replied “possibly.”

Back with Laura, she quizzed Liz about Esme and thought Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) seemed to believe she genuinely had amnesia.

Liz muttered that maybe they’d get lucky and that Esme might never remember, so Laura asked why that would be a good thing.

Elizabeth covered by acting like it’d be nice to forget all your crimes and mistakes.

Laura assumed this might have something to do with whatever was going on between Liz and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Since Liz had always seen the good in Nikolas, Laura offered gratitude and said she thought of Liz as a second daughter.

Laura also admitted how worried she was since Nikolas had backed himself into the corner of a very dark place.

At Wyndemere, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) confronted Nikolas about the Christmas tree that had gone up in flames in the north tower.

Toiletries and loose-fitting clothes were also found, so Victor called Nikolas out for holding Esme prisoner right under his nose.

Nikolas came clean and defended his actions, but Victor slammed Nik for letting himself get manipulated since Esme escaped.

Although Victor had been protecting Nikolas for the sake of the family, he hinted that the Cassadines might be better off if they cut their losses.

When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) arrived to search for evidence that Esme might’ve hidden there, Nik put up a fight.

It was Victor who welcomed the cops in and argued that they had nothing to hide.

Victor urged Nikolas to show Dante around, so Nik was with Dante when he searched the north tower.

It turns out Victor got Demetrius (Ari Kappatos) to clean up the fire damage before the search.

Nevertheless, Victor privately told Nik that he kept all the evidence to ensure Nikolas’ future cooperation.

Back with Dante, he told Jordan that a room on the north wing had obviously been cleaned and painted recently.

The Cassadines had definitely been hiding something or someone up there according to Dante.
