General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, January 24, teases that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will fret over what Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) might be hiding. The risk of trusting Carolyn will seem too great considering all the deception and pain of the past.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will worry about Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) as well since he has a knack for keeping secrets and making things worse.
Nikolas’ latest secret involves summoning Carolyn to Wyndemere, where he’s about to deliver some shady orders.
Naturally, Nikolas won’t reveal that Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was held hostage, but he’ll admit Liz got tangled up in a mess related to her.
Since it’d be better for Liz if Esme didn’t remember anything, Nikolas will expect Carolyn to repress Esme’s memories permanently.
Other GH spoilers say Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will tackle a tricky Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) situation.
Dex is about to confess something, but he’ll certainly leave out a few key details.
It doesn’t look like Sonny will get news on Dex’s romance with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), so this may be about Dex rescuing Joss from “The Hook” and leaving the scene of the crime with her.
Although Sonny will be grateful that Dex kept Josslyn out of harm’s way, he’ll still have some complaints.
The fact that Sonny is just now hearing about this may be an issue for him.
Sonny might also warn Dex not to drag Josslyn into any more crimes and remind him of what’s at stake.
Of course, there may be some talk about the Pikeman deal, too.
Dex will try to keep calm and focus on Sonny’s downfall since Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wants to move full-speed ahead.
As for Cameron Webber (William Lipton), he’ll have a tough decision to make.
Josslyn wants Cameron to keep her romance with Dex a secret, but Cam obviously doesn’t owe the cheater any favors!
Nevertheless, Cameron may relent since Josslyn will be so concerned about Sonny’s retaliation.
Since Josslyn will legitimately fear for Dex’s life, Cam may decide against revenge and agree not to spill anything.
Across town, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will give Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) some disturbing updates.
Maxie may not approve when she realizes Sam is so caught up in risky Esme drama.
Although Sam feels confident that Esme isn’t “The Hook,” Maxie may point out the killer still seems to have a grudge on her behalf.
The deeper Sam digs for info, the more danger she could be in.
In Paris, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will gain entrance to Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) fortress with Rene’s (Maria Tornberg) help.
Unfortunately, Rene isn’t really an ally since she’s willing to serve Valentin and Anna up on a silver platter.
Now that Rene is hoping for Victor’s reward, she seems poised to set a trap for Anna and Valentin to fall into.
General Hospital spoilers say Anna will fear the clock is ticking for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), but Anna and Valentin could be joining her as hostages if Rene succeeds!
