General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has repeatedly assured Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) that there’s no way he’s letting Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) raise the newest Cassadine heir.
GH fans know how much the Cassadine name matters to Victor, who has a plan in motion that he doesn’t think Spencer would support.
Victor is keeping major secrets since Spencer doesn’t know Victor’s leaving town, which obviously means there’s no time for Victor to gather evidence on Esme’s dormant crimes like Spencer expects.
It seems likely Victor intends to kill Esme instead, but Spencer’s actions could force another change of plans and some scary news.
The goal was previously to get Esme out of the way permanently and help Spencer get custody of his baby brother, but Victor may soon determine that Spencer is unfit to raise a Cassadine too – at least in his eyes.
Spencer isn’t a monster like Victor, so he may use the softer part of his heart that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) fell for and let it guide him here.
At some point, Spencer may become a traitor – and if that happens, Victor may wash his hands of him.
It’s not like there’s a long line of other Cassadines available to raise this baby, so Victor may vow to flee with Ace and tackle parental duties himself – with hired help of course!
In the March 31 episode, Victor pointed out that no matter what happened with Esme, Ace would remain in the family fold.
That could’ve been a great hint about where the story’s headed since it would’ve been so easy for Victor to say with certainty that Spencer would raise his younger brother.
Instead, Victor painted with a broader stroke using this “in the family fold” comment, which left the door open for Ace to be raised by another Cassadine instead – namely Victor.
Victor isn’t going to reward Spencer’s disloyalty by helping him get custody of Ace because he’ll no longer be worthy.
Siding with Sonny could prove to be a mistake that Victor can’t ignore.
This may turn into a situation where both Spencer and Esme panic over Ace being in the hands of a dangerous criminal!
