General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 1, teases that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will pitch in as everyone in the OR works to save Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who’s fading quickly and drifting into the light.
There’ll be some frightening moments where it seems like Willow isn’t going to make it, so she’ll nearly join Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) as she faces this near-death experience.
Meanwhile, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) won’t have any inkling that anything’s wrong as he cradles his new baby girl.
Although it’ll be nice to see Michael bonding with his daughter, he really needs to get back to Willow ASAP!
Once Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is brought in the loop on Willow’s dire condition, he’ll scramble to find Michael and get him by his fiancée’s side.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will look terrified and miserable as she awaits updates on Willow as well.
Michael will eventually receive the awful news about Willow taking a turn for the worse, so he’ll fret over her potentially facing a grim fate.
Thankfully, Willow’s going to survive this difficult ordeal, but she won’t be out of the woods just yet.
At Spring Ridge, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) will have questions since Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) just revealed her baby belongs to him.
That should leave Esme wondering how she ended up sleeping with Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) father – and she may find the age difference a bit odd, too.
Nikolas may suggest they’ve both done things they aren’t proud of and just urge Esme to focus on what they have in common now: the desire to make sure this baby is happy and healthy.
Nevertheless, Esme will battle trust issues after Nikolas leaves.
Heather Webber (Alley Mills) could easily make those trust issues worse by acting like the Cassadines are dreadful people.
Back at GH, Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) will shock Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) when she spills how Nikolas roped her into a scheme.
The goal was to manipulate Esme’s memory so that her amnesia became permanent.
Carolyn didn’t go through with the hypnosis process, but she’ll still give Liz a heads-up on Nik’s intentions and the drama he’s been hinting at.
Although Carolyn won’t have all the facts, she’ll point out that Nikolas thinks Liz could go down hard.
Elizabeth should keep her role in the hostage mess under wraps and prepare to confront Nikolas over his actions soon enough.
Of course, Liz may have to get in line since Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) just watched Nikolas confess to Esme’s parapet push.
That incriminating video will spark some bickering between Trina and Spencer.
Although Trina will think the police should handle this, Spencer will want to stay in control of his leverage.
Spencer may change his mind later, but perhaps he’ll suggest tabling the discussion until after Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial service.
Other GH spoilers say Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) will land in a tight spot during a conversation with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
Curtis will initially assume Jordan’s got a problem with his nuptials, but she’ll insist that’s not it.
Jordan will have to make up some other excuse for her weird mood, but Curtis may still feel like he’s not getting the whole story.
Next, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will leave Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) with a torn heart.
It seems Portia will get Stella thinking about her own history of deception – like when she let Curtis believe Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) was dead.
Stella may admit she’d make a different choice if she could go back in time, but that’s just not an option.
Portia may realize Stella has figured out Trina’s paternity shocker and hope she can understand that it’s too late to undo the damage now.
Perhaps Stella will realize how much this would hurt Trina and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) if they found out the truth.
