General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, February 22, teases that Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) will land on the hot seat with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), who’ll wonder what had him at Wyndemere so late.
Felicia may jump to the wrong conclusion and assume things have taken a steamy turn in Austin’s bond with Ava Jerome (Maura West), so he might let her think that’s accurate.
Austin will have to cover up the fact that he was there to help dispose of Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss), so a fake romance seems like a good option.
Of course, Austin will also get the medical care he needs following his stabbing.
Since there was no venom on the hook this time around, that’ll make his recovery go a lot faster.
At Wyndemere, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will realize Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) labor is progressing rapidly, so it seems he’ll have to take the lead on the delivery with some help from Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Meanwhile, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will be a protective big brother and push Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to let him on Spoon Island.
There’ll be concerns about Esme’s baby and the trauma she’s endured.
However, Spencer may be forced to stay put with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) since Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is still on the loose.
As for Ava, she’ll have to decide whether she’ll make a fatal move against Ryan. More gunfire is coming up – and GH spoilers point to deadly ramifications following this faceoff.
It sounds like Ava may fire another shot at Ryan and kill him, but we’ll see how it all plays out.
Regardless, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) will deliver some grisly news after he makes a discovery.
That could mean Mac will find Ryan’s body after Ava ends him, but Nikolas’ body is still waiting to be found as well.
Once Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) visits Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place, they’ll have another legal strategy session.
Liz may think it’s important to come clean tonight since her crimes involve Esme, who’s been part of all the escapee mayhem.
Nevertheless, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will want Liz to hold her horses and avoid doing anything rash.
Finn already encouraged Liz to wait until morning, so he may give her another push to stop rushing toward the PCPD.
Whatever the case, Elizabeth is in charge of her own destiny and may insist it’s time to face the music.
With Scott’s help, Liz may be able to strike a deal that minimizes the consequences of her actions at Wyndemere with Nikolas.
Next, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) will talk to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) about Trina and the possibility that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) might be her biological father.
Even if a DNA test proves that’s true, Taggert will mark his territory a bit and insist he’s always going to be Trina’s dad.
Trina might gain another one, but Taggert’s been there her entire life and will continue to support her.
Portia may take some comfort in knowing this won’t shatter Taggert and Trina’s bond, but she’ll still have to deal with more backlash over her lies.
General Hospital spoilers say Trina will have to get some paternity updates eventually, so a DNA test should be brewing.
