General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 11, reveals that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) had a couple of dreams while she was upstairs in bed. The first one involved Willow beating cancer and bringing home a perfect baby girl with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) by her side.
The second one was a full-blown nightmare where Willow was too sick to care for Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Viron Weaver) or her daughter. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) took the children to raise as her own and considered naming the baby Nelle, so Willow woke up horrified.
Downstairs at the Quartermaine gatehouse, Nina admitted she knew about Willow’s leukemia and treatment delay through the file in Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) box. Michael tried to throw Nina out since this was none of her business, but she felt that Wiley made it her business.
Nina was concerned about Wiley having to grieve the only mother he’d ever known and felt it was selfish to put him through that. Wiley eventually scampered down and wanted to play with Nina before Willow appeared.
That led to Willow ranting about how she wasn’t dead and frantically trying to get Nina away from Wiley. Willow eventually collapsed as she tried to take Wiley upstairs, so Michael rushed to her side.
In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen on Wednesday’s GH episode, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) got updates on her DNA test deception since Nina was indeed Willow’s mother.
After Drew said Willow already found a bone marrow donor through the registry, he pointed out that Carly’s deception still could’ve cost Willow her life.
Although Drew knew Carly would never intentionally hurt Willow, he thought this was about revenge on Nina. Carly argued that she was protecting Willow, but Drew felt that excuse only went so far.
Drew didn’t want a relationship built on secrets and lies, but Carly was upset over him ending things over one mistake and suggested it could be different now that he knew the truth.
Of course, Drew thought it was more than just one blunder, but their conversation was cut short by Nina’s phone call.
After Nina begged Carly not to hang up, she revealed that Willow had collapsed and was on the way to the ER with Michael.
In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, he shut down Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) tirade and made it clear this wasn’t about her personal life. Sonny wanted to offer help to Willow and Michael since he knew their situation must be difficult.
Josslyn was stunned when Sonny mentioned Willow’s leukemia diagnosis and cried in Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) arms soon after. In Dex’s car, Josslyn opened up about losing Oscar Nero-Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) to cancer and worried about Michael losing Willow, too.
Dex did his best to comfort Josslyn and was certain that she’d helped Oscar despite how helpless she felt at the time.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) talked to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) about her breakup since he heard the news from Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda).
There was talk about a plan to lure Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) over to practice some song changes ahead of his radio performance with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), but Brook Lynn was a bit wary.
Cody gave Brook Lynn a confidence boost, so she decided to get Chase over there and try to bond with him again.
In the yoga studio, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) admired the view since Chase was already there doing some moves. Chase chatted with Gladys and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) before Gladys headed to Sonny’s office.
Gladys needed help with Sasha, who was on the fence about an offer for the garage. When Sonny learned it was for $300,000 cash, he felt that Sasha should wait for another offer since it was worth more.
Gladys acted like they didn’t have time to wait, which confused Sonny since he didn’t think Sasha needed the money.
However, Gladys acted like it was unhealthy for Sasha to hold onto Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) things when she needed to move on.
Sonny tried to reassure Gladys while Sasha opened up to Chase back at the yoga studio. Sasha talked about her complicated guardianship, but she indicated that she trusted Gladys.
Since nights were lonely and difficult, Sasha sometimes listened for Brando’s humming while he brushed his teeth and imagined him in the other room. Chase felt that was normal for a new widow, but Sasha didn’t want to get too caught up in the fantasy.
After Chase insisted Sasha could call him anytime, he got a call from Brook Lynn and agreed to come deal with some last-minute song changes.
Brook Lynn got all dressed up for Chase, so Cody said that Chase wouldn’t be able to resist her and wished her luck.
The plan was thrown off when Brook Lynn realized that Sasha had tagged along with Chase, but Cody convinced Sasha to grab some food with him in the kitchen.
That gave Chase and Brook Lynn a chance to share some close moments on the piano bench. There were some laughs over Brook Lynn’s terrible handwriting before she gave Chase heart eyes.
Brook Lynn and Chase were ultimately interrupted by a phone call about Willow’s medical crisis.
Back in Sonny’s office, he called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and got him to find the best oncologist in the country for Willow.
