General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) may decide on another career overhaul down the road. GH fans know Willow started out as a teacher before going to nursing school and ultimately becoming a nurse.
However, Willow could easily decide to make another change due to what she’s been through. After all, it doesn’t seem like the writers are very invested in Willow’s role as a medical professional.
There have been moments throughout Willow’s leukemia storyline where it felt like they forgot she was supposed to be somewhat knowledgeable about her own condition.
Of course, the writers also had Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) complaining about Willow’s extended GH stay because she hated all the sights and the sounds of the hospital. Did the writers not remember that Willow works there?!
Since they haven’t given fans any reason to believe they’re committed to this nursing path for Willow, they might shake things up in her career once again.
It’d be simple to explain Willow’s choice once she wins this leukemia battle. Willow might decide she’s tired of all the life-and-death scenarios and opt for a career that’s a little less stressful.
If Nina can make some progress with Willow, maybe she could convince her daughter to come work at Crimson.
Willow might get involved in the fashion industry and help out with Nina’s publication.
Can you imagine Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) reaction if that happens?
Carly promised she wouldn’t stand in the way if Willow opened her heart to Nina, but she may change her mind about that sooner or later.
From where Carly’s standing, she might believe Nina’s going to corrupt Willow in some way or at least set her up for more disappointment.
Nina, on the other hand, would feel like she’s getting a second chance. Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) previously worked at Crimson, but now it may be her twin’s turn to take a job there and get to know Nina better on the job.
Willow has been pushing Nina away, but she’s proven she has a forgiving heart and will likely warm up to Nina in time.
Of course, Nina could face another setback once Willow inevitably finds out she was the reason why the SEC got tipped off!
