General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Monday, July 17, indicates that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will insist offering herself up as bait is the best way to figure out who inadvertently took down Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
However, Anna will struggle to make sense of why the bureau would go after her in this way.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will ask if someone might’ve gone rogue, so Anna will consider that possibility.
Regardless, Anna will think they need to set a good trap, but Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will worry that this plan sounds reckless.
Sonny, on the other hand, will announce that he likes it and will believe Anna’s right about it being the best strategy.
Since Dante won’t convince Anna to call this off, he’ll at least want her to rely on him as backup.
It’ll take some work to make her relent, but Anna will eventually agree to let Dante assist her on this.
Since Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) has been dealing with so much stress over Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) amnesia, he’ll find ways to act out and perhaps get some attention.
Unfortunately, Leo will end up with a skinned knee after doing something he shouldn’t do – presumably in the Quartermaine stables.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) will rush to Leo’s aid by carrying him inside, but Leo will remain out of sorts.
Despite Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) attempts to help, Leo will really need his dad right now.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will feel like there’s only one person who can fix this, so she may think Ned needs to step up for Leo whether he has his memories or not!
Other GH spoilers say Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will grumble during a conversation with Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) since he’s sick of Tracy’s constant hidden agendas.
It looks like Brook Lynn will deliver an SOS call on Leo’s behalf, so Chase will hunt “Eddie Maine” down and push him to come through for his adopted son – even if he can’t recall their bond right now.
“Eddie” will entertain Leo with his guitar later, so that could ease the tension and leave Olivia hopeful that this is a turning point.
Next, there’ll be some bad news for Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). It turns out Lucy will crash and burn on her fake date since Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) will figure out she has ulterior motives.
Jackson will nail down who Lucy really is and leave her in a tight spot, but Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) will wind up an even tighter one when she presumably sets off the alarm back in his office.
The police will arrest Felicia along with Lucy, so their Pine Valley mission will come to a shocking conclusion.
As for Ava Jerome (Maura West), she’ll admit the truth to someone, so that could mean she’ll tell Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that she slept with Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth).
Whatever the case, Ava and Austin’s mess is far from over. Austin will deliver a message, so we’ll see if that’s an unsettling one from the boss or maybe one he tries to fight back with when it comes to Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey).
