General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, June 29, indicates that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will remain outraged over the scare Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) caused. Austin may confess he arranged for Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) to go missing briefly, but he won’t think it’s a big deal since she stayed safe the entire time.
Ava doesn’t seem to grasp the urgency of the situation, so Austin will try to help her understand what’s at stake and the grim news lack of compliance could bring.
With that in mind, Austin will feel like his drastic move was necessary and will push Ava to use this opportunity to get Pilar (Brenda Barberena) sacked.
From there, a more cooperative nanny can take over and help Ava score the Pikeman info she needs.
Ava will know it’s a terrible idea to dupe Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) like this, but she’ll feel like she’s tangled up in a mess she can’t get out of.
Over with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), they’ll make some significant promises to each other as Drew prepares for Pentonville.
Carly will repeatedly shut down the idea of moving on from Drew and will plan to wait for him on the outside.
Drew won’t want stop Carly from living her best life, but she’ll think they can still have a future – no matter how long it takes.
Next on Thursday’s GH episode, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) will put together a date night for Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), who’ll accept her invite.
Assuming Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) gets an invitation as well, this could be Violet’s awkward attempt to play Cupid.
Over with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), he’ll raise Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) suspicions while they’re on a date of their own. Sam will quiz Dante about something that comes up out of the blue, so he’ll have to explain what he’s thinking.
Meanwhile, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) will have a reason to bring Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) to the hospital, where Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will have a private chat with her.
That could give Portia another chance to encourage Esme to leave Port Charles behind, especially now that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is no longer in the picture.
Portia is counting on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to chase after Esme if she leaves, but it might be a mistake to be so pushy about this.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) could always chase after Spencer too, which certainly isn’t what Portia wants.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will warn Spencer that turning over proof to law enforcement isn’t easy.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) may grill Spencer and guess that he didn’t destroy the evidence against Esme.
That could leave Josslyn hopeful that Spencer might use it after all, but Dex will act like it’s a complex process to hand it over.
One way or another, Dex will push Spencer’s buttons and lead to a familiar scenario. Trina will arrive in time to watch Spencer’s fist connect with Dex’s face, so she’ll once again express disappointment in him.
