General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, June 28, indicates that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will continue to freak over Pilar’s (Brenda Barberena) revelation. Pilar confessed that Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) vanished, so Ava will alert the cops and get Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) on the case.
Of course, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) seems to have taken drastic action without Ava’s knowledge.
The doc was determined to put a plot in motion that would get Pilar fired, so Austin probably left Ava in the dark so her reaction would seem real.
Austin also knew Ava would’ve shut down a plan like this if she knew in advance, so it appears he made Avery “disappear” and will fill her mom in later.
Over with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he’ll have an irresistible offer for “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).
It looks like “Eddie” will extend his stay at Sonny’s penthouse and remain in Port Charles with the promise of a rebooted music career.
Other GH spoilers say Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will rant about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) prison fate and act like it didn’t have to be this way.
Sonny could’ve been the one headed to Pentonville – and Josslyn will think that would’ve been preferable.
Although Josslyn will think Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) screwed up by passing up the chance to sell out Sonny, Carly will stand by her decision to protect Sonny.
It was a delicate situation that could’ve ended in a mob disaster if Sonny landed behind bars.
As for Drew, it’s not like Carly could talk him out of pleading guilty. Drew gambled with his plea deal and lost since he got a far longer sentence at a much harsher facility, but it’s too late to undo it now.
All Drew can do is prepare for his three-year prison stint and try to help Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) prepare as well.
Drew will reach out to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to strategize how they’re going to make Scout understand, so Sam will lash out at him for creating this dilemma.
Despite Sam’s anger, she’ll have to put it aside and concentrate on Scout eventually.
Scout will get updates on Drew going away for three years, but Drew and Sam will try to surround her with love as she faces this crushing blow.
As for Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), she may pretend she has some sympathy for Drew, but she won’t really care about the prison cell that awaits him!
Back with Carly, she’ll react to a terrible shocker. The news about Avery’s disappearance should make it to Carly and Sonny, so we’ll see if Austin does a good enough job pinning this on neglectful Pilar.
At Deception, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will confide in Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and convey a deep level of trust in her.
It could bring a bit of a guilt trip for Brook Lynn, who’s a secret spy since she’s being forced to report back to Tracy.
Finally, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will get Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to do some research regarding Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) and the secrets he’s keeping, so there’ll be a lot for Felicia to learn about The Deceptor as well as Martin’s finances.
