General Hospital: Wednesday, December 20 Recap – Helena’s Necklace Inspires Charlotte – Aiden Talks Boyfriend with Liz

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 20, reveals that Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) showed up all wet on Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) doorstep and claimed a burst pipe ruined his apartment.

After he showered and changed clothes, Maxie insisted that Spinelli would stay there until he could find a new place. Spinelli wanted to pay Maxie rent, but she tried to shut down that idea since he was family.

Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) appeared and urged Spinelli to stay overnight for Christmas, so he admitted he might be staying longer if he worked out a deal with Maxie.

Once Maxie relented on letting Spinelli pay rent, he privately fist-bumped Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) since this was their sneaky plan to help Maxie out with her money woes.

At the dorm, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) prepared to take Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to her family’s Christmas celebration, but then she realized Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) hadn’t gone home as planned.

Adam admitted he couldn’t face all the questions about his grades and courses, so he backed out of flying home for Christmas.

Josslyn insisted on inviting Adam to her own family gathering, so she checked with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and then extended the invitation. Adam seemed happy to be included and dashed off to get his coat.

At Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) house, she woke up from a nap and realized Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was gone.

Charlotte found Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) instead, so she wondered what Valentin could possibly be doing on Christmas Eve.

Laura felt confident Valentin would be back soon and distracted Charlotte with some holiday prep, so Charlotte almost seemed like her old self.

However, Kevin later caught Charlotte examining her “battle wound” in her bedroom mirror with pride.

Charlotte was also wearing Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) necklace, which Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had given her in his will.

Kevin spoke to Charlotte briefly before giving Laura updates on her granddaughter’s sinister role models.

It seemed like Charlotte was looking up to troubling family figures like Helena and Victor to cope with her trauma.

Laura expressed concern to Kevin and wanted to find a way to get through to Charlotte.

After Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) summoned Valentin to her suite, they discussed the confirmation that Jameson Forsyth was responsible for the fire.

Valentin felt that Anna was lucky to be alive since the director of the WSB came after her.

Now that Forsyth was deceased and John Brennan (Charles Mesure) was in custody, Anna suggested the worst of the danger was over.

That said, Anna still had enemies out there, so she felt Valentin and his family would do well to keep their distance.

Although things almost felt normal between Anna and Valentin again, she knew they couldn’t go back.

Valentin asked how Anna expected him to let her go, but she felt they should just accept that part of them would always love each other. After sharing a hug and a tough goodbye with Valentin, Anna cried alone in her suite.

Once Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) brought Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) over to Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) place for Christmas fun, Violet was in a gloomy mood.

Jake Webber (Hudson West) finally pried it out of Violet that she was worried about her daddy going away.

After Jake’s urging, Violet told Finn about overhearing his conversation with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Since Violet found out Finn was going to court, she worried he would end up in jail.

Finn assured Violet that he wouldn’t and explained that although he’d been accused of doing something wrong, he knew he hadn’t.

Once Finn insisted it’d all work out, he pinky promised that he’d be together with Violet forever.

In the kitchen on Wednesday’s GH episode, Liz helped Aiden Webber (Enzo De Angelis) bake and learned he liked someone from his science class.

Aiden eventually admitted it was a guy named Tobias, so Liz thanked her son for trusting her enough to tell her and embraced him.

At home, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) made a family announcement about his chance at a treatment that could help him walk again.

Outside later, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) expressed gratitude for each other before dancing together.

That led to a rather electric moment where Stella and Marshall were feeling the chemistry, but they both got spooked and pulled away.

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) showed up and initially got a frosty reception from Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), but he made a speech about his love for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) that seemed to help.

Spencer also said he hoped to earn Portia and Curtis’ forgiveness, respect and trust, so Portia ultimately invited him to stay and be part of their ornament-making tradition.

Trina got some earrings as a gift from Spencer and appreciated how hard everyone was trying to come together this Christmas.

General Hospital spoilers say Spencer and Trina have more challenges ahead of them, so stay tuned for news on their future.
