General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) will turn to another unhealthy coping strategy during the week of January 1-5. It looks like Adam will once again be feeling overwhelmed by his parents’ pressure, so he’ll hope to forget his problems at the bottom of a bottle.
Adam will throw back more than a few drinks as he tries to numb his pain and put his issues on hold for a while. That’s obviously not a good idea, but it’ll seem like it at the time when Adam gets drunk and spins out.
While Adam’s in the middle of his drunken downward spiral, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn Jacks (temporarily played by Courtney Fulk) will come along and find him.
GH spoilers say Josslyn and Dex will make this alarming discovery together, so they’ll do their best to help Adam sober up and stay safe.
Of course, Josslyn has already been worried about Adam’s mental state and how tough his pre-med classes have been on him. Adam is obsessed with achieving perfection since that’s what his mom and dad expect of him.
However, Adam will clearly be cracking under the pressure since he’ll be so heavily intoxicated. Josslyn will feel like things just keep getting worse when it comes to Adam’s family struggles, so she’ll voice her concerns to Dex.
Dex, on the other hand, may be more worried about Josslyn and how close she is to this situation. Adam is always teetering on the edge of something that feels dangerous, to Dex may warn Josslyn to stay on guard.
Even so, Josslyn’s heart will break for Adam once she finds him drunk and out of it. That could lead to Josslyn considering more extreme options to help Adam find a better path forward.
Josslyn is the type of person who isn’t afraid to stand up for others and speak her mind, so she might even be tempted to confront Adam’s parents herself!
All Josslyn will know is that something has to change for Adam or this mess could end in a true tragedy. Josslyn has come to care about Adam as a friend, so she’ll be desperate for some sort of solution.
