Tonight’s Law & Order SVU episode begins with Benson is called in to the chief’s office, he says it has been a week and wants to know how much closer they are in finding this guy, there are five open rape cases. Benson says whoever put the site up was watching the federal warrant system and knew judge Ziegler had signed the court order. Chief says the Shadowerk guy is playing game with them. Benson says they have to be patient. Chief wants all the NY perps arrested today.
Jet is going over the site and she has an idea.
Elsewhere, one of the rapist victims, Kate Wallace, is stir crazy and says she is going out, her mother say it is her ex-boyfriend Gil Hughes who caused all this. Kate leaves and says she is going sight seeing. She heads down near the water, and stand out near a railing that looks off to at the bridge. A man walks up to her and says hi, he says the view is incredible. Then, he grabs her, drags her to under the bridge and tells her to get on her knees, if she screams, he will snap her neck.
Case after case, perps are in court and Chief says they shining a beacon of light. He says they have formed an elite task force to take down the revenge crime website Shadowerk.
Kate’s rapist is in court, she missed the arraignment and won’t talk to anyone. Finn speaks to Kate, she says she was looking at the Manhattan bridge, this man walked up to her and she didn’t want to stereotype him because of what happened to her. They were talking, he ordered her to get on her knees, unzipped his pants and she didn’t have a choice. She is worried it was Gil, maybe he hired this guy. She gives Fin something, she spit inside her hood after it was done, she got DNA.
Jet is trying to slow the whole system down for Shadowerk with a virus.
Velasco and Muncy go see Gil and he says he knows nothing about Kate being attacked a second time. Muncy tells Velasco that McGrath pulled her aside and congratulated her on Elias. They want to offer her a job on the DA task force. She is going to think about it, she has three days.
Kate is told that her second rape was probably a random attack.
Perp struck again, this time the victim, Danny, is a 14 year old boy. Finn and Bruno arrives at the scene, the victim was waiting for a bus, then this guy came up to him, hovered over him, told him to get down on his knees. He tried to fight him off but he was too strong. When it was finished he just walked off like nothing happened. Danny doesn’t want his family called, he just wants to go home.
Chief calls Benson into his office, the site shut down and he is upset. He yells at Jet and sarcastically tells her good job.
Manny, the 14 year old is in the hospital, his mother is yelling at him, she thought he was beat up, Bruno says he was sexually assaulted. His mother refuses for them to take samples from him for DNA and asks her son he is going to be a man now. Bruno asks Mrs. Lopez to speak outside. Finn tells Manny that his mom is old school and proud. Bruno tells her that she is upset and he understands that, her son will be a man, but the kind of man is up to him. The only way to become a man is to heal, find peace in himself and he might be able to get past this.
Rollins shows up at the station, she tells Benson that the guy who owns Shadowerk took it down because it was sullied with a virus, he wants it to be perfect – he’ll be back. Benson asks her if she is sorry she left. Rollins says she loves her students, but it’s not her. Carisi doesn’t know. Benson gets a call, Finn says the serial rapist struck again. The victim is Yves Netty, 22 years old, he was coming home from college when a black man attacked him, told him to get down on his knees, he wouldn’t. He carried a knife for protection and stabbed the guy there is a lot of blood on the floor.
Carsisi tells Benson that he is pretty pissed off, the thought of bring a kid in the world when people are trying to burn it down. Benson tells him they are going to get this guy, together, like they always do. Carisi says shutting down the site for good is another story. The serial predator that attacked Kate Wallace, he is in the hospital for the stab wound and his name is Randy Gordon. Bruno and Fin head over there, he says he tripped over a box cutter at work and hurt himself. Bruno tells him he is under arrest for assaulting several people.
Kate pulls out the perp from a lineup, Carisi thanks her. Bruno tells her that Gordon is going away for a long time, he won’t be able to hurt anyone again. Finn tells her to live her life, give it time. Good news, Manny won’t have to testify.
Benson and Stabler are eating takeout together and he says he wishes he could bottle the moment.
At the Escrow office, a girl called IT because of Shadowerk being down and the guy is heading there. He arrives in front of the building, the plates belong to Jacob Bettencourt, a college student that goes to Kenyon College. This could be their perp. When he arrives in the office, Jacob says he is is from Task Rabbit and he got the call. He is taking the Shadowerk backup with him, if he takes they have no evidence. They move in and catch him red handed.
FBI field office, Ohio, Benson and stabler arrive. Stabler gets a call, the sight is back and running faster than ever, and the site posted a $50,000 bounty on each of Benson and Stabler’s heads.
