Tonight’s LPBW finale episode begins with Amy and Tori having lunch and they talk about Amy agreeing to do pumpkin season. Matt also wants to bring back private tours and have Chris involved, and that makes Zach upset.

It is the grand opening of pumpkin season, Matt is excited that Amy and Chris will be there and he hopes some of the kids will show up. He misses Jackson a lot, it’s sad. Amy is arriving but she is not as excited as she was the other years. She is not sure if any of the kids will show up because of the drama. Chris shows up and gives Amy a big kiss. Chris is heading up the tour, he wouldn’t want to do it as a full-time job, but now and then is fun.

Matt asks her what she thinks about his plan b, which is putting the house up as a short-term rental because it is not selling, she laughs and tells him not to get her started. She tells him to do whatever he has to do.

All in all, Matt had a good day, but Zach and Tori didn’t show up.

Zach and Tori’s house, they rented an RV and they plan on going on a camping trip with the kids. They love RVing, they have done it before. Chris and Amy are going with them. Zach doesn’t feel weird not being a part of pumpkin season. He saw the text from his dad regarding the short-term rental, but he is trying to numb himself about the whole thing. Everything could have been different, and it doesn’t make sense to him that his dad wants to rent it to strangers.

Time to go on the RV trip, the Roofs are rolling out, a fun way to end the summer. Amy and Chris are driving up on the bike, they will be staying in a small cabin. Lilah and Amy have a special bond, she can’t stop talking about her and is so excited to see her drive up with Chris. Amy is glad that she was invited. Amy doesn’t plan on talking about the farm, she really thinks it is Matt’s place and she just wants to have a good time on this trip.

Caryn and Matt go out to dinner for a date night. She talks about the short-term rental and laughingly says that she hopes he likes it cause he is paying for it.

Matt says that he is aware that they can’t get married until they get a place together. Caryn says she has no expectations of Zach and Tori coming for pumpkin season and she is sorry that they are still angry. She was waiting for this big discussion, so they could put all the hurt feelings to rest, but that is not going to happen, so she just wants to move on.

Chris tells Zach and Tori that there was a very light turnout. And, there were no private tours booked. Zach says they are not going to go to pumpkin season, there are several pumpkin patches in their area. Amy understands how they feel. Amy says she has had a great year, with the kids, a new grandchild, a new husband, and a fur baby, Daisy. Chris says he misses camping with his family, so he enjoys doing it with them. Zach says they have three beautiful children and they are ready to take on whatever God has in store for them.

Caryn has Liam on Fridays, so Matt says he gets his baby fixed that way.

Chris gets a private tour, he doesn’t get much time to prepare, but he thinks he’s got it. The tour went well, they were very warm and friendly, it was a good experience. Chris tells May that he is curious to see the house now that it is staged, Matt said it could sleep 16 and he is interested to see how he does it. Amy says she wants to remember the house the way she does, not the way Matt changed it. She thinks Matt forgets the personal toll that bringing him to where he is now, has on all the family.

Now that the day is winding down, Matt wants to show Amy and Chris the house, but she doesn’t want anything to do with it. Chris bribes her with dinner and persuades her to go inside. Amy is sad to see the house go to this point as a short-term rental. The farm will always have a special place in her heart and hold tons of memories, but she wants to close the chapter and move on to the next one. The short-term rental doesn’t connect with her, it is very strange.

Chris says he could see large groups wanting to stay there, especially with what he is charging. Matt is only opening the house, he is not letting anyone around the property. Matt doesn’t want to give renters a code, he wants to know when they are coming and going. Amy says each family needs to have their own code, now that he has opened the home, he has to give free rein. Matt says he wants to make a huge announcement, the family can rent it for no charge, and block dates out.

Amy asks him if he is high to be even thinking that. She cannot see any of her kids would do that. Matt says he texted the kids that he was going to plan B and the kids didn’t respond, they don’t care. Amy says they don’t care. Amy doesn’t care what he does, but Matt doesn’t know how much this hurts on the personal side. Matt says some elements of the family are never going to agree with him regarding the farm, he is doing the best that he can. He says he tries to do what his father did, give his children unconditional love.

THE END!
