In tonight’s Magnum P.I. episode, Magnum tracked down Lewis Teal. Magnum followed him all the way to San Diego on the mainland. Lewis was the guy that claimed to have seen Captain Buck Greene set sail on his boat and they now know he lied to cover up what really happened to Magnum’s former Commanding Officer.
Greene was killed. He was tortured before he was killed. Lewis was paid to lie to anyone who came around asking questions and he later skipped town before he could be tracked by HPD. Lewis probably figured he could start over on the mainland, but Magnum used up his points to chase after him and he found him because the idiot used his credit card.
Magnum found him. He broke into the man’s apartment and he basically told Lewis that he had to help them to flush out Greene’s killers or he’ll get handed over to HPD. Magnum had already learned by this point what the killers were after when they targeted Greene. They were after Magnum and his friends.
They took part in a mission to take down a known terrorist by the name of Ahmed Hadid. Now, everyone attached to the case was slowly getting taken out. The first death wasn’t even Greene’s.
It was Nadine Amherst. She was a CIA Analyst in charge of gathering information against Hadid. Her information was critical to Magnum and his friends because its what ultimately helped them to take down the terrorist. Amherst also died in what looked like an apparent accident.
The same way it was for Greene until Magnum decided to be a big pain in the butt and push for a more in-depth autopsy on his former CO. Magnum pushing was how they found out that Greene was murdered. There was no one to do that with Nadine.
Nadine’s boss within the CIA had also suffered an “accident”. He died in a hit and run and no one made the connection to Hadid until Rick started poking around. Rick was asking questions to his assets that were still in the Intelligence community.
He was helping Magnum with his investigation and he inadvertently tipped off people in charge that there was now three people that were killed because of their connection to the Hadid case. And now they wanted to use Lewis to get a picture of Greene’s killers.
Magnum had Lewis contact the killers. The plane was for him to ask for a meeting because he felt the police were close to finding him and he was worried. Magnum enlisted Rick’s help in the sting. He couldn’t ask Juliette or TC because they were working a case. They were contacted by a tech billionaire that wanted them to track down whoever it was that was stalking him. His stalker was using a drone to monitor him. It flies over his home. It also takes a sneak peek through the windows everyday and so Nolan Pierce wanted to stop them.
Unfortunately, Nolan has a lot of enemies. He likes feuding with other tech billionaires out of spite. He also hasn’t been seen in public in years and so there was a chance that it was just the paparazzi spying on him to get a money shot. His stalker’s drone was very high tech. It was spying on him in 4K.
Nolan has tried shooting it out of the sky. He didn’t work because he has poor aim. He wasn’t exactly a trained professional and so that’s when he hired Juliette. She brought along TC. They came up with a plan on taking out the drone that they changed at the last minute because the drone came back.
Juliette and TC grabbed a couple of Nolan’s horses as well as his guns. They pursued the drone until they shot it out of the sky. They were going to use information from the device itself to determine the manufacturer. Which in turn would lead to them finding whoever bought the device.
They were doing so as Magnum’s situation took an unexpected turn. Magnum put Lewis in the line of fire and the killers figured out on their own that he didn’t come alone. They shot him. He was thankfully wearing a reenforced bulletproof vest. And Magnum was able to capture the shooter thanks to Rick who saw everything from his own sniper’s perch.
They got their shooter. He was a hired gun. He didn’t know who employed him. He just knew that they had a certain amount of “pull”. The guy’s name was Oliver Cane. Cane was supposed to be in a federal prison serving a sentence. He wasn’t supposed to be hunting Magnum or his friends and so someone broke him out just to hunt them.
Ut was a whole group of people looking for them. The bad guys didn’t know each other. All they knew was that they took orders from one guy. And that they were going after the remaining people attached to the Hadid case.
Magnum ran a couple of alarm bells himself when he sent Crane’s fingerprints to his detective friend. Now, everyone knows that Crane wasn’t in prison. The guys may know Crane’s name, but Crane has now seen their faces. They couldn’t just let him go after that and so they were figuring out their next step when Juliette and TC found out that Nolan’s stalker wasn’t in fact stalking him. They were stalking Nolan’s pilot, Valentina. Valentina used to work for a drug dealer in Venezuela. She reported on him to the DEA. And then she disappeared.
Her old boss still has people. They tracked her down. They almost killed her and everyone on Nolan’s property only Juliette and TC stopped them. They killed off the bad guys. They called the police and Nolan tried to offer them a job as the head of his security. And they had to turn him down.
Magnum and Rick also handed over Crane to a US Marshall. He’ll go to a blacksite where he’ll be held in insolation while they figuring out who’s trying to kill them. Whoever it is revealed that the money paying for Crane’s manhunt was coming out of the CIA’s budget.
And LaMarianna was robbed, but Kumu decided not to file charges because she found out the thief was currently struggling to find a job and pay for hospital bills. And so this was why she and Shammy usually left the sleuthing to Magnum and Juliette.
THE END!
