In tonight’s NCIS Hawaiʻi episode, a criminal was captured by the US Marshalls. His name was Harriman. The US Marshalls were going to transport him back to the mainland to put him on trial only Tennant managed to talk her way onboard the flight. Tennant wanted to question their prisoner.
She said Harriman was the last person to see NCIS Special Agent Craig Anton and only he could tell her what happened to the man. Craig disappeared right after that meeting. Tennant assumed that Harriman killed him. She wanted to question Harriman because she wanted to know where Anton’s body was and she wanted to return him to his family.
The family finally deserves some closure. Tennant may not have served in the Marines, but she was a firm believer in no man left behind and unfortunately that mentality worked against her this time. Something happened onboard that flight.
Harriman faked a medical condition. He used that to get out of his restraints and then he grabbed one of the Marshall’s gun in the chaos. Tennant saw what he was doing. She tried to offer up some resistance. She wrestled for the gun with him and they accidentally shot a pilot.
The copilot lost control of the plane. They crashed on a deserted island off the coast of Hawaii. There were two dead and thankfully Tennant hadn’t been one of them. She survived along with the co-pilot as well as one of the Marshalls. Harriman also survived, but he went on the run. Tennant decided to go after him and the Marshall went with her.
They were both armed. They gave the copilot a weapon as well in case Harriman circle back before they do. And unfortunately Harriman kept one of the guns from the plane.
Harriman was armed and dangerous. He was doing everything possible not to be tried for his many crimes and so he didn’t want to go down easy. He chose violence. Which was a problem because the island was a large one. Tennant and the Marshall couldn’t see everything and that’s how they ended up missing Harriman coming up behind them.
Harriman shot the Marshall first. He also shot at Tennant enough that it pushed her back and she followed the Marshall in falling down into a cave. They were so far down that it would have been impossible to climb their way out of there.
The Marshall was also injured because he got shot in the arm. He couldn’t exactly climb out of a sinkhole with just one arm. The only one who can make the climb was Tennant.
Only she didn’t want to leave a man behind. Again. Tennant stayed with him as the rest of the island was being searched by the FBI. Whistler was running point on the case. She even got the FBI helicopter to take them to the island. They found the copilot. They didn’t find Tennant or the Marshall. No one knew they were in that sinkhole.
People above ground were working the investigation. Their first priority was to find Harriman. It seems Harriman only came to Hawaii to take out a couple of witnesses against him and so NCIS built up a profile of him. They determined that the people he killed could determine where he planned on going if he ever escapes the island.
They knew he was still on the island because he ran into and assaulted Whistler, but they didn’t know where Tennant was and so Tennant broke her rule. She chose to save herself by climbing out of the cave without the Marshall.
Tennant did so because that was the only way to get help. They couldn’t wait around to be found or else the Marshall’s injuries might get worse. So, Tennant climbed out of the sinkhole. She tracked down the feds on the island. She got them to come back with her to pick up the Marshall and after all of that – Harriman was caught for trying to steal a car from the feds. They arrested him. Tennant also didn’t need to question him any further.
Tennant’s people began looking into her case while the FBI was searching for her. They found out that Harriman used a burner cell when he was in Seattle meeting with the NCIS Agent and that cell drove and stopped by a lake. And in that lake, Craig’s remains were found and his family were finally given closure.
Tennant’s people pulled off a miracle without her. She later thanked them with the bottom of her soul and then she went her home. Ernie informed Alex about Tennant’s situation. He told her son that her plane went down and he stayed with the young man until they heard good news about Tennant.
Tennant returned home to a very happy kid and he was also willing to hug her after the day she had.
THE END!
