In tonight’s NCIS: LA episode, a hunter went off seeking game in the woods when he was targeted. He was hunting with a literal bow and arrow when gunmen showed up. He killed two of them, but they just kept coming. The hunter went on the run trying to lose the rest of the guys with guns and the men he killed were later found by a park ranger. It was the park ranger that called the authorities.
The authorities then notified NCIS because they knew what those men were in the park for. They knew they were hunting Tom Olson. Tom was a former Navy SEAL. He eventually retired. He’s since written books about his time undercover and someone was trying to kill him.
Olson dropped his ID behind as he fled from the men with guns. The cops ended up fighting it and that coupled with the fact the two murder victims were found with semi-automatics and everyone realize what had happened. But the chief concern was not finding who was behind the hit. It was protecting Tom. The Department of Justice sent Agent Hamilton to assist with the case. Hamilton was a longtime friend of NCIS. Kensi was happy to be working with him and together it was their job to find Tom.
It was everyone’s first priority to bring Tom home alive. But the rest of the team were still looking into who would want Tom dead. Fatima was joined by Sabatino to question Tom’s wife. Lauren Olsen didn’t seem concerned about her husband. She said he knew the Utah wild life like the back of his hand.
He wouldn’t be found until he wanted to be found. Lauren also added that Tom started writing books to help with the cash flow and that he wasn’t worried about the blowback to himself. He was more worried about what it could do to his family. He didn’t want his wife or his son to face punishment for what he did.
There was one guy who was getting loud at Tom’s latest book signing. Except that person was removed before Tom came onto the scene and so Tom was never told about this troublemaker. The person that caused the ruckus was identified as Luke Austin. Fatima and Sabatino went looking for Luke.
They found him at his job. Luke told them how he was a fan of Tom’s books until Tom killed off his favorite character. Luke now thinks all the books are garbage and he went to the book signing to tell Tom so. And he bought up a couple of guns because he likes gun. He hasn’t actually used them on people.
Meanwhile Kensi was using the main character from Tom’s books to get a profile on Tom. Tom basically wrote the main character as himself and so Kensi realized he would do what the character does. He would walk back into his tracks in order not to make any new ones. Kensi found his real tracks. She also was able to determine that he was injured. There was some blood found on a rock and the blood was B-. Tom’s blood type. It was a rare blood type. And so everyone was worried about Tom’s losing blood.
They thought that would slow him down. But they were wrong. Kensi and Hamilton found Tom. Tom’s injury was to his arm. He was still in fighting shape and he was given a bottle of water to help with dehydration. He took down five men. They were told that there was still five more out there. Which was a problem because the bad guys have a drone. They bought the drone around the same time that they bought their ghost guns and they were using the drone to carry C4. It was basically a flying bomb at this point.
Whoever wanted Tom dead was willing to do anything to get it done. Fatima and Sabatino were following up with an arms dealer who sold the weapons to the bad guys. It turns out the bad guys were Brazilian. They spoke Portuguese with a Brazilian accent. Fatima managed to get control of the drone. She used it to take down the men that were after Tom and that got Tom to safety. He made it to the helicopter and that was followed by a ride on the private plane. He was coming back to LA.
It turns out Tom had killed a gun dealer back in the day who had ties to terrorism. But the dead dude’s brother paid good money to find out who killed his brother and then sought out revenge. He wanted to kill Tom any way he could. But NCIS stopped him. They rescued Tom. They arrested the attempted killers. They even arrested the arms dealer that sold them that gun. And so hopefully this will be the last for it because people weren’t sure on how much longer they were going to use Nina Barnes as a source.
THE END!
