In tonight’s NCIS episode, Jimmy went into tonight’s episode wanting an assistant. He himself was Ducky’s assistant for years back when Ducky was the Medical Examiner. Now that he wants one for himself to help with the workload, he kept getting denied.

Jimmy was such a nice guy that he didn’t ask why he was getting denied. He was just going to let it go and it had actually been Parker who pushed him to confront the director about this. They went to the boss. They asked him for an assistant for Jimmy and that’s when they got told the whole story. Kasie had a recent trial run with two potential assistants and neither worked out.

Those people only worked for her for a day. They still somehow got severance packages because of a glitch in the system and so that’s why there wasn’t a budget for an assistant for Jimmy right now. Director Vance said it wouldn’t be a permanent thing.

They just needed time to fix the glitch and Jimmy will get an assistant at a later date. Which Parker thought was unfair. If a call hadn’t come in about a new case, Parker would still be in the director’s office trying to bribe him with pastries. And so Parker went into this new case being his usual self.

Very zen. Very calm.

Then there was a shift. Parker and the others were called to a scene of a robbery/homicide. The victim was Naval Ensign Clyde Sims. He was transporting drugs that were taken during a raid and someone killed him in order to get their hands on his supply. Some of the drugs fell out. The team took a look at them and they had no clue what that “W” stood for. Not until Parker took a look at them himself. Parker saw that and he stormed off. He went dark on his team. He returned to work the next morning with an attitude.

Parker snapped at everybody. Director Vance had to call him off Kasie because Kasie wasn’t moving fast enough for him and that’s when he told everyone what that “W” stood for. It stood for Wills. Clayton Wills to be specific. He was a big-time drug lord that crippled Parker’s partner back when he was working in the FBI. Parker has an obsession with finally taking down Wills and he wasn’t going to let anything get in the way of that. He even showed up to work without pastries. He wanted Wills and he basically ordered his team around like they were dogs to get the man.
