In tonight’s Outdaughtered episode, Adam and Danielle Busby were coming back for a new season of “Outdaughtered”. Adam was truly outnumbered after they had a daughter and then a set of quintuplets that all proved to be girls. Only he doesn’t seem to mind. His and Danielle’s eldest was Blayke. Their quintuplets were Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley, and Parker. All the girls were conceived with the help of fertility treatments. The couple had struggled with getting pregnant on their own. They tried for two years before they got help with conceiving Blayke. They then waited until Blayke was a toddler before trying again. And that’s how their hope for a second child landed them with half a dozen kids.

Raising six children was not easy! The quintuplets were born at twenty-eight weeks. They had to stay in a hospital for a while before they could be released and unfortunately Hazel’z eyes became a problem. She was diagnosed with congenital nystagmus. She had to have eye surgery before her second birthday and even now she has to wear glasses because her left eye will wander off. Besides Hazel’s medical situation, they also had to deal with doing everything else with five kids at once. They had to have birthdays for five kids at once.

The toughest part was when they all started walking at once. It wasn’t easy running after five babies and keeping an eye on Blayke at the same time. Nevermind them having to move or simply going on vacation. The parents also had to deal with their own medical issues. Adam suffered from postpartum depression. Danielle had a problem with her heart. They all had to get through a pandemic being holed up with six kids and it’s not like the kids were all in the same grade. Blayke was older so that was expected. Riley skipping a grade on the other was an issue onto itself.

Though Riley’s intelligence came in handy when they were potty training. She was the first amongst the quintuplets to pick it up and eventually the other girls followed. Riley’s temper also made up for her intelligence. She has the fiercest temper out of everyone. She would just scream for hours to get her way. Adam and Danielle never gave in only it was hard not to hold her after a tantrum. Riley was also a bit of a daredevil. She loves to try new things. Olivia was right up there with being the same. And that made preschool easier.

Parker hated the first day of preschool. She cried so much that her whole face went red. She was only in there for a couple minutes before running back out again to find her parents. It took her some time, but eventually she adjusted to preschool and she stopped crying out for freedom. Adam then got them a puppy for their birthday. He was just supposed to go out for supplies for their party. He instead came back with a very real puppy. He said it was never going to be easy with deciding on when to get a dog. He had to act on his own and his wife got mad at him for it.

Both Adam as well as that puppy were in the doghouse for a bit. They then dealt with the elimination of nap time. It was replaced by quiet time and the girls all struggled with it. They started playing. They were jumping on beds. Parker hurt herself. Danielle got mad at Adam again because he was supposed to be watching them and he was on his computer. He ended up taking his laptops upstairs to be closer to the girls. And it still resulted in tears because once again he wasn’t keeping a close enough eye on them.

This meant that quarantine was a trial. The girls needed constant entertainment. Their poor parents began running out of ideas in less than a month and they even got sick of each other at one point. Danielle then opened up an online boutique. It was as she was dealing with the additional stress of starting a business from scratch that she began having problems with her heart. It fortunately was a minor issue. She didn’t require open heart surgery so she was back to having fun with her family in no time.

With Danielle starting her own business, Adam had to step up in running the house. He struggled at first and now the couple were finding a happy medium. And more of the girls’ personality was coming through.

THE END!
