Quantum Leap was an experimental program that was years away from live testing. But for some unknown reason, Ben Song chose to venture out on his own with the program and he left everyone doing their best to keep up with him. They’re trying to figure out why he making these jumps. It seems he’s chasing after someone from the future. They just didn’t know why and Ben was no help. Ben had lost his memory when he went into the program.
He’s slowly piecing things together now. He remembered his childhood. He knew he was engaged. He just didn’t know why he risked everything by going into the program much less how to get out. The only thing he does know is that he has to stay alive. If he dies in the program, he dies in real life.
Ben, therefore, was doing their best to keep as many as he could alive when he woke up in the 1970s. He was the bodyguard to a very famous singer by the name of Carly Farmer. Carly was dated to die that day. She was supposed to die in a freak accident. She was supposed to die while rehearsing for a concert and some stage lights come crashing down on her.
But Ben saved Carly from the freak accident. Addison had warned him in time. He took that warning and pulled off an impressive dive that got Carly out of danger. He saved her life only there was still a danger. After Ben saved Carly’s life, Ziggy said she would go on to be murdered.
Carly was reportedly murdered by her sister, Jamie. Only Ben ran into Jamie. Jamie seemed nice. She said she was clean now and that she just wanted to reconnect. She got an invite in the mail. She thought it was her sister reaching out and she jumped on it, but Carly didn’t send her sister an invite.
Ben turned Jamie away at the door. He also got the invite from her and he checked it against the threatening letters. Carly has been receiving threatening letters. Her manager claims the letters are from Jamie and that he has a private investigator to prove it, but it seemed odd that all the letters are typed. And they don’t even use childhood nicknames of each other in them.
Another weird thing was that Jamie didn’t seem like a stalker when Ben turned her away. Wouldn’t a stalker go crazy and try to get close to their obsession as much as possible? Addison looked at the case with modern eyes and she thought that Jamie might have been framed. There was no way that Jamie could stab her sister to death without getting any blood on herself.
If she could hide the bloody clothes, then why didn’t she hide the murder weapon that was found in her hotel room? Nothing about the case makes sense. Thus Ben couldn’t just protect Carly from Jamie. He had to ask who else had a motive. Like, say her business manager.
After Carly dies, her sister gets arrested and her business manager keeps control of her entire fifty million estates. Also if Jamie is not crazy then Trevor has been purposely keeping the two sisters apart. Ben later told Carly his suspicions about her sister. How she wasn’t crazy. She didn’t stalk Carly. And once Carly knew the truth, she became angry. She was especially angry that her sister was invited and then turned away because of something Trevor did. Carly also came to realize her life was in danger when a car tried to run her off the road. Carly survived that thanks to Ben. And afterward, she fired Trevor.
They couldn’t see who the driver was in the car. But Carly wanted only people she could trust around her. Carly also reached out to Jamie and the two sisters bonded. They hugged. They both apologized for their past behaviors. Yet, someone still kills Carly. The AI was again saying it looks like it was Jamie. The murder weapon was now found on her instead of in her hotel room. Ben was wondering if he made a mistake by reconnecting the sisters when Carly came up with an idea. She said that they should use her as bait to lure out her killer.
Carly went to the concert. Jamie showed up and she was searched by Ben. She wasn’t the killer. But the killer had to know Trevor was behind the letters painting Jamie as a psycho and so Ben called Trevor. He asked who knew about the letters. Trevor said it was Carly’s backup singer. Trevor has been in love with Carly while the backup singer has been in love with him. And so once Ben took down the psycho with only a light stabbing to himself – he was able to be there for the concert both Carly and Jamie put on. They sounded great together and the performance helped cement their new career as a sister singing group.
Ben was also told that he would make a full recovery from the stabbing and so he jumped. He jumped right into a crisis. A woman was in labor and she needed help to deliver.
THE END!
