Sancho Zamora was in the United States. He was the leader of the Zamora cartel. He came because he wanted to avenge his son. His son Ulan was murdered by a joint task force involving both DEA Agents as well as LAPD. Sancho doesn’t know who killed his son. He went after the DEA Agents first because he figured one of them did it. He was going to torture the information from one of them when the guy’s housekeeper called 911. The cops were on their way and so Sancho was forced to cut down on time. He killed the DEA Agent. He let the housekeeper live because he wanted her to spread the word that Sancho Zamora had left Mexico.
Until then, Sancho stayed in Mexico where he created his own fiefdom. He shipped drugs into the United States only he was known for never leaving Mexico. It was his late son who looked towards the United States for major production of drugs. Ulan was ambitious. He was also a sociopath. He was known for killing the families of anyone who disappoints him. He was also known for rape on top of torture and murder. He raped Muriel. He was the father of her baby. And so Luca was the only one that was concerned for Muriel in all of this.
Muriel and her cousin were offered Witness Protection. Her cousin was the one who turned it down. Marcos was still upset that his brother died while supposedly under DEA protection. He now wants nothing to do with either the DEA or LAPD. He wanted to stay in LA. He thought he could handle whatever came his way, but he wasn’t thinking about Muriel or her baby. He was just focusing on his own anger. He couldn’t see anything else he was so angry. Marcos might have a change of heart once he realizes Sancho was in the United States.
It was one thing to ignore him as a boogeyman in Mexico. It was quite another to deal with Sancho’s wrath in person. DEA Agents went into hiding after they heard Sancho was on their turf. Hondo could have done the same and he didn’t. Hondo made sure that his family were safe while he personally went looking for Agent Boyle. Boyle was the one leading the DEA on the joint task force. They tried to contact him to warn him about the threat and they couldn’t reach him because he was watching his son play soccer.
Everyone found out where he was at the same time. He was posted in the background of photos of his son’s game on social media. SWAT found him mere minutes after the cartel did. The cartel tried to kill Boyle and anyone else who got in the way. They didn’t care that it was just parents and kids at the park that early in the morning. They were prepared to kill everyone to satisfy their boss’s blood lust. Boyle was able to hold off three gunmen on his own until SWAT showed up to provide aide. They killed two of the men and they arrested the third.
They were trying to track down Sancho using his men’s cell phones. They were making leeways when Marcos called Luca. He asked Luca and Street to meet him. He said he was ready to sign the papers that would get him into Witness Protection. He lured them out to Long Beach and Sancho’s men tried to finish them off. Sancho had grabbed Muriel. He told Marcos that he would give him back his cousin if he gets to kill a couple of cops. And like a fool, Marcos believed him in spite of everything.
Sancho was never going to let Marcos go. He planned on killing him for the part he played in Ulan’s death. He wasn’t like Muriel who was carrying his grandchild. If Marcos had simply told SWAT about his cousin’s abduction, they could have helped rescue her. There was no need for them to get injured or almost die. Luca and Street didn’t know that Marcos set them up until they saw the gunmen and tried to rescue Marcos. He told them he didn’t need help. He said he made a deal for his cousin.
Luca and Street tried to escape into their car. The car was taken out by an RPG. They escaped into a nearby warehouse where they held them off long enough to call in what happened to them. Their team was coming to rescue them. The guys also rescued Marcos before he could be killed. Hondo called Sancho directly on one of his men’s cell phones. He told him that he was the one that killed his son. He asked for a trade. His life for his men and Sancho stupidly thought he could still kill everyone.
He captured Luca. He was going to kill him when Hondo and the others finally arrived. Hondo asked for his life. He also tried to get Muriel away from Sancho, but Sancho wanted his grandson more than anything. They were being transported to a helicopter when the snipers took out some of them. And Sancho was injured. Sancho will live and he will now face jail time for many crimes. His territory will most likely be taken over by a rival. As for Marcos, Luca was going to put in a good word for him. He understands why Marcos didn’t want to entrust Muriel’s life to the same people that got his brother killed.
Deacon also helped Powell. Powell told him about her son that she put up for adoption. Deacon looked into it. Her son put in the paperwork saying he wanted to meet his birth mother and so Deacon gave the young man’s contact information to Powell.
And before they baptized baby Vivienne, Hondo proposed to Nichelle and she said yes.
