Tonight’s Survivor episode begins with night 9 on Tina, Yam Yam says tribal didn’t go as he expected, he was shocked. He is happy he survived but he is not happy that he didn’t know how it was going to go. Josh is glad he used his intuition and his gut, and trust Carolyn. Day 10 at Ratu, Matthew is in a lot of pain, he dislocated his shoulder on day 2 and its no better. It’s dulling his spirit to be able to get around like he wants to.
trained to be on Survivor for years, it is more than just the pain. Meanwhile, Carson is happy with his new place on the tribe, everyone is confiding in him. Kane wants to work with him, he thinks they both have in common that they are nerds. Day 10 on Soka and the tribe is back to their Brazilian Jujutsu. They tribe believes it helps them to work better together. Frannie doesn’t think that everyone has caught on that she and Matt are close and she is thrilled. There is a spark between them, they plan on going on a date after the game is over.
Yam Yam is trying to make amends with Josh but it is not working. Yam Yam tells him that he was going with the group, it was nothing personal. Yam Yam doesn’t feel safe, but neither does Josh, so he lied and said he has another idol.
This worries Yam Yam, he could be next to go home. The conversation goes to when They both came out, they share their experiences. The two bond over deeper things than Josh has with Carolyn, but he has to feel comfortable. Josh tells Yam Yam that he wants to get rid of Carolyn.
Time for the immunity challenge and this one is a physical and strategic one. Today they will be tied together, on Jeff’s go they are going to race through a serious of obstacles to a bucket. They will fill that bucket with water and make their way over hinged platform, transporting the bucket until they have enough to lower a gate.
Once they reach the finish, two tribe mates will work together to maneuver balls through a table maze, the first two tribes to land all three balls will win immunity. In addition they are also playing for power. Once again, the winning tribe will decide which three tribe members go on a journey, there is a lot at stake. The last team to finish goes to tribal council and loses their flint.
The physical part is a close finish for all three tries. Soka is the first tribe to get a bad in the maze, Ratu is right behind them and passes them, takes the lead. Soka and Ratu tie, one of them look like they are going win, they are about at the same spot. Ratu wins immunity, Soka wins second place immunty. Tika is going to tribal council.
Ratu decides who goes on a journey, they choose Brandon, Carolyn and Danny.
Yam Yam says tribal council is going to be hard, its just the three of them.
Matt gets some medical care for his shoulder, he is in a lot of pain nine days in. Matt says it is painful but he is not one to give up.
Josh and Yam Yam are back at camp, its only the two of them to strategize for tribal council. Josh tells Yam Yam that he would like to save his immunity idol, he doesn’t want to use two in a row.
On the journey, Brandon is worried about what he is going to say when he returns to the tribe. When they arrive on the beach, there is a sign, “welcome to the sanctuary where good things happen. Today, there is no game to play, no vote to risk. Instead, you will enjoy a break from the heat as your share a light snack together. In a game in which information is powerful, what will you tell your tribunates about your journey?” The three share food and information, and form an alliance for when they reach the merge. But the conversation seems to be more Brandon and Danny, its almost like Carolyn is not there.
Carolyn is back at camp, after a round of watching Danny and Brandon bond, she is ready to join up with Yam Yam and get rid of Josh. She tells them that the two guys were obsessed with each other and think they are big threats. Josh reveals that he is playing his idol, he shows it to Carolyn and Yam Yam, Carolyn knows it is fake, so does Yam Yam.
Jeff shows up on the Tika beach before they head to Tribal Council. Jeff tells them that Matt is no longer in the game due to his shoulder because of the pain. So, Matt’s bad news is their good fortune, there is no Tribal Council. This is a new beginning for the three of them. Jeff says goodnight and leaves. Carolyn is not excited, she wanted to get Josh out.
