In tonight’s #Survivor episode, the Lulu tribe said goodbye to Sabiyah last week. There were left with three remaining players. One of them being Sean. Sean was completely thrown by the last tribal council. He never thought Sabiyah would be voted out and so he was left scrambling to sure up his own position in the aftermath.
Sean claimed he was happy that Sabiyah was voted out. He said he didn’t like how controlling she was. She was constantly trying to manipulate the game to her own advantage. It was easy for Sean to say these things because Sabiyah wasn’t there to argue against it and he was trying to kiss up to the real power in the Lulu tribe.
Kaleb and Emily were running things in the Lulu tribe. If they lost out again, he knew he’d be the one sent packing. Which is why he tried to badmouth Sabiyah because he didn’t want to be left out of the loop again. Sean tried to befriend the powerful duo and they saw right through him.
He knew they saw through him. He later told the cameras that his only hope would be if people started to switch tribes. And someone must have taken pity on him because Jeff Probst later reassigned a few people.
The reassignment came the morning after Sabiyah was eliminated. The other tribes were surprised to learn that Sabiyah had gone home. They all considered her to be the Lulu tribe’s strongest player. They therefore felt people were already starting to play the bigger game.
They were worried about what came next when Jeff announced the switch up. Belo tribe and Reba tribe got broken up. Sean went to Reba. Kaleb stayed with the Lulu tribe. Emily went to the Belo tribe. These former tribemates were now competing against each other.
Kaleb got to tell the others about surviving the Lulu tribe. Their home base is practically tribal council with the way they’ve been there so much. They were known as Lulu Losers for a reason. When they all got told to drop their buffs, Kaleb spat on his because he thought he’d finally be free.
He thought he could start over somewhere and yet here he is again. Kaleb was forced to now look at the bright side. He did his best to get to know the others. The other four were all formerly Belo tribe. And so Kaleb had to start off at the bottom again.
Or so he thought at first. It turns out he didn’t need to worry about his new tribemate, Katurah. Katurah asked him early on to confirm a story that Bruce had already told them. It seems like she didn’t believe Bruce’s version and she wanted to hear from another person the truth.
She did this in front of Bruce by the way. Bruce hadn’t suspected before this that Katurah had a problem with him. It was a part of his game to befriend everyone. He just couldn’t seem to befriend her. Katurah didn’t like him. She even heard Kaleb’s version and knew that Bruce didn’t lie. And still she didn’t like him.
Katurah has been trying to get rid of Bruce for the longest. She thinks he’s a know-it-all. She hates that he is bossy and that he acts like the dad. And not like the fun uncle he tries to paint himself as.
Katurah has had her eyes set on eliminating Bruce from the very beginning and she tried to get the ladies of her tribe to oust them when they had the chance. Only things were different now. Katurah’s former tribe has gotten broken up. She, Bruce, and two others went to the Lulu tribe. She should have been focusing on ousting Kaleb and instead she’s set on getting rid of Bruce.
Reba tribe had their own Katurah. They had J. J wanted to blindside Sifu if they lost the next competition. The Reba tribe stayed mostly intact. They just added Sean and so most of them wanted to oust Sean if they lost the next competition. They thought he was the easy choice.
He was the outsider. They were all Reba strong until J befriend Sean. She likes Sean. She wants to get rid of Sifu. She doesn’t trust Sifu. She doesn’t like him. She thought they should take the first opportunity to kick him out and she even told Sean this plan.
Sean was so happy that he had an ally that he didn’t notice the state of his bag. The other tribemates used that time that Sean went off with J to try and look through his bag.
They wanted to know if he had an idol before they potentially vote him off. The only reason its try instead of did was because his bag was so intricately tied that they knew they couldn’t replicate it. They had to leave his bag be. All they could do was wonder about the idol. The same idol that went home with Sabiyah.
Emily ended up telling her new tribe all about it. Her tribe was the only tribe that had former members from each tribe. There were two original Belos. Two former Rebas. Then just Emily from Lulu. Emily knew she could be at the bottom if she didn’t start showing who she really was.
Emily was considered cold and mean by practically everyone from the first day. It took Kaleb talking to her to get her to be vulnerable the first time. She now doesn’t have him and so she opened up to the others so that they couldn’t see she wasn’t this big villain everyone painted her as.
Emily’s plan worked. Austin and Drew befriended her. They sought her out in an alliance. These three were dealing with the other true blues and they agreed to vote out those that’ve remained Belo. This was all important for the next challenge. The next challenge tested their strength.
They all had to swim to a cage and then drag the cage onto land. Then someone had to dig out enough space for one of them to get out. Then they have to play basketball from inside of the cage. For the first time in forever, the Lulu tribe won this challenge. Showing that Kaleb was never the problem.
Lulu tribe got to it first. Then they were followed by the Belo tribe. The Reba tribe lost. They had to give up their flint. They also have to go into tribal council.
Most of them wanted to vote out Sean. J was the sole dissenter at first and then she talked to the women. She slowly worked her magic on Julie and Dee. She convinced them that they have to start playing the long game. They have to take out threats where they can. Sean is the easy choice. J argued that Sifu was the best choice in the long-term.
Dee, Julie, and J went to Sean. They told him that they were ousting Sifu. They later told Sifu that they were ousting Sean. The two men had no idea what to believe as they all into they went into tribal council. Then Sean surprised them all. Sean has had enough of the fighting and the no fire.
He wanted to go home. He wanted to return to his husband. His heart was no longer in it and so he asked everyone to kindly vote him out. He didn’t even care about the plan to oust Sifu. He was just done.
And so Reba strong continued on by voting out Sean tonight, but one person voted Sifu and one person voted Dee. Meaning Reba wasn’t strong as they liked to think.
THE END!
