Tonight’s The Bachelorette episode begins with Charity having to deal with her new reality, dating 19 men and she is ready for it. Today she is going on her first date.
At the mansion, Jesse arrives and asks Brayden whats up with the outfit, he is wearing a scarf and earrings. Jesse jokingly says that he feels since Brayden got the first impression rose he is like screw it. All joking aside, Jesse says there are going to be two group dates and one incredible romantic one-on-one. Jesse drops the first date card, it is the one-on-one and it is with Aaron B., “let’s build a love that lasts a century.”
Aaron B. Is thrilled, he is feeling all the emotions. Charity shows up to pick up Aaron B. for their date and their ride is vintage red convertible, and she’s driving. They stop at a parking spot near the Hollywood sign and sit down, pop open a bottle of champagne. What they have in common is that both of their parents are still married and for a very long time. They cuddle, sitting on the top of the car.
At the mansion, Aaron S. Says he can look through all the men and see who is there for the right reasons and who is not. He is stoked that Aaron B., got that date, he would hat4e someone to get it who isn’t there for the right reasons. Adrian agrees, he sits back and observes a lot, he is 33 and has a one year old daughter, so he feels that he has a higher level of maturity. Charity has another surprise for him, they get closer to the Hollywood sign and hike up the mountain to stand in front of and share another kiss.
It’s dinner time, Charity and Aaron B. Get changed, and sit down, he tells her that she makes him feel like he luckiest man. His family is very important to him, he is closest to his little brother.
He was in a four-year relationship, he wasn’t the best boyfriend, he struggled with communication and listening, he had therapy, he had a lot of pride. He had some partners who flirted with other guys, it hurt. He says he loved being open with her, it is so great, he feels like she is a safe place. She really appreciates his vulnerability, there is nothing more attractive than someone that puts in the work for their future partner.
Aaron B. says that he hopes he can be the man that she deserves. She tells him the are off to a good start.
At the mansion, the men are waiting up for Aaron B. when a date card arrives. This one is for Dotun, Tanner, Adrian, John, Caleb A., Caleb B., Kaleb K., Xavier, James, Aaron S., Sean and Brayden, “Suns out, Buns Out.” Brayden says he hopes its a competition because he is not losing.
Back to dinner, Aaron B. tells Charity she is an amazing woman. She feels really confident in the process, she trusted her gut about him and she was right. Charity has another surprise, they enter a theatre and Lauren Alaina is there to perform for them, they dance and she gives him the rose, which he gladly accepts. This is the first date of the season and Charity is feeling really good.
The next day, it is time for Charity’s first group date, the men arrive at the beach and when they see Charity, Brayden bolts to be the first one that hugs her. She tells the men that the beat is one of her favourite places so she thought they could unwind and play games. Jesse arrives and says they are going to mix things up, a little friendly competition for Charity’s heart, they going to go head to head with a dodgeball game.
They are competing in the fourth annual Bachelorette Dodgebowl. The stakes are high, the winning team goes to the afterparty, the losers go back to the mansion. And, they have uniforms, hot pink speedos, sports cups are mandatory. The judges are Jesse, Charity and sports casting legend, Liz Habib. The pink team wins, there is an MVP award and that goes to Adrian and because of that, he joins the pink team. Charity was thrilled with all the effort that the men put in.
At the after party, Charity says she had the best time, she toasts to getting to know them better. Brayden don’t think Adrian deserved the MVP and finds it difficult to deal with. He sits down with Charity, Next, she sits down with John and says she was so surprised about he embraced the day. They chat a bit and he leans in for a kiss, she was really happy about it and taken by surprise in the best way.
Brayden tells the other men he got the first impression rose, but he also wanted the first one-on-one, regardless if he sounds like a spoiled brat. Brayden then tells Adrian that he wouldn’t have picked him for MVP and you can see that Adrian is not happy. Adrian says his team was calling him an MVP because Charity did and Brayden compares that to someone not doing well on a sports team and getting the ring anyway. Adrian thinks Brayden is immature and only there to be on spring break. Adrian knows he is there for the right reasons, he is ready to settle down and be serious. Adrian sits down with Charity, he tells her that he has a daughter and that is his everything, it was hard for him to leave. He tells her that some of the guys act like this is spring break but he is serious about being there and he is not about to waste her time.
Charity returns to speak to the men at her after party and she says she found out through conventions that some people might not be there for the right reasons, if that is the case, she does not want that. Her purpose is for her to find her person and they should all be there for that too. She takes the group rose and she gives it to John. Brayden’s eyebrows go up, Adrian is surprised.
The next group date is about to start, but Gaby and Rachel show up first and Charity can’t wait to speak to them. The men arrive, the men are so excited,
Josh, John Henry, Michael, Warwick, Spencer. Joey and they are greeting by a huge crowd. The one man who impresses all the women the most will have an opportunity to break a record in Bachelor Nation history. The man who Charity chooses will have the opportunity to break the record for the longest kiss ever in Bachelor Nation history. The record is three minutes and twenty seven seconds.
After a serious of questions, Charity felt the most sincere was Joey and he gets to break the record with her. The rest of the men are so uncomfortable. They break the record with four minutes and twenty five seconds. In true Bachelor fashion, Joey will get a one on one for the evening. The other guys are totally bummed and walk away. The men return to the mansion and Brayden says he would have walked away, he wouldn’t have sit there and watched it, it is disrespectful.
Charity and Joey are together for their date and he is beaming. He tells her that he grew up in a household where his parents were divorced but he felt loved. They broke out because his dad came out as gay. But he feels like he had great parents and they had a great love for each other. Charity gives him the rose, she finds that Joey is there for him. 100% and he is open and honest.
The next day, Jesse shows up and gathers the men. He tells them he has some good news and bad. The bad news is, there will be no cocktail party. The good news though there is going to be a BBQ and she is on her way.
Charity arrives and greets all the men. The men fired up the grill. Charity sits down to speak to Dotun, he says he signed up because of her. He tells her that he brought his card with him, it is when he came to the USA when he was four. She thanks him for sharing it. He says he doesn’t want to go for the longest kiss, but he would like a kiss and she goes ahead.
Tanner tells Charity that he has good intentions, he is there to find his forever person. Sean steps out of his comfort zone and teaches Charity how to golf.
Brayden tells the guys he feels like a 70’s rockstar, he is wearing crazy earrings and velvet shirt. He packed his bags before the BBQ and if he does hear what he wants to from her, he is prepared to go home.
Brayden gets his time to speak to Charity, he tells her that he had a lot of doubt in her character to some degree, he heard what happened to the guys during the date with the longest kiss and he wondered how he could be there. She appreciates his honesty, he doesn’t hold back with her.
Adrian has a few minutes to sit with Charity, he tells her that he was just being honest when he said the whole spring break thing. She wants to know what he meant about immature. He says a lack of emotional intelligence. He say the group date was over, the guys talk about the kiss, then Brayden said it was classless and disrespectful to the guys. Charity is shocked, to be called classless, Brayden didn’t use that word in their conversation. Charity is upset because Brayden was a strong connection.
Jesse shows up, he tells her that Charity found out some information that was upsetting to her, so she left and they will see her at the Rose Ceremony. Adrian admits that he told Charity what happened when the guys returned from the date.
The Rose Ceremony begins, Charity is overwhelmed, she was told two different stories and she is struggling. She starts by saying it was an incredible week but with everything that was shared with her, it left an imprint on her and makes it difficult for her. The first rose goes to Donut, then Tanner, Caleb B., Warwick, Michael, Sean, Xavier, Aaron S., James, Adrian and the final rose goes to Brayden.
