The Bachelorette Recap
Charity was hoping a new location will open up new avenues for her. They all traveled to Stevenson, Washington. It was very picturesque. However, there were some unresolved issues stemming from last week’s episode.
The gentleman loved the mountains of Washington state only they were beginning to despise each other. They were all friendly on night one. They quickly became enemies by week three. Aaron B. and Brayden absolutely hate each other.
Aaron tried to sabotage Brayden by badmouthing him to Charity. He was hoping to change her mind about his fellow competitor and all it did was create tension in the house because Charity decided to keep Brayden on. And she rewarded her next one on one to Dotun.
Aaron got no further with Charity. This was in spite of his game. He just ticked off Brayden and Brayden now hates him. Brayden also hated Sean. Sean really wants some alone time with Charity.
He wants to get to know her. He wants to see if she’s someone he can introduce his family to. He spoke openly to the other guys about not getting enough time with Charity and this in turn reminded everyone else that Sean cut into their time with Charity on the group date.
He won the Barbie challenge. He just failed to be a gentleman about it.
Not to say that people were loving Brayden either. He can only argue with so many people before everyone starts wondering if the problem is him. Aaron wasn’t without friends amongst the guys. He spoke with one of them about the Brayden problem.
He said that Brayden was here for the wrong reasons. He said that Charity wasn’t surprised about anything he had to say. He said that Brayden’s days were numbers. Brayden also told someone else that his days were numbered. He remembered how upset Charity was with him.
Brayden figured he would have been eliminated if he hadn’t already gotten his rose. He thought his chances with Charity was gone and then the group date invite came.
Charity chose both Brayden and Aaron B. to be a part of her group date. Prior to the date, the guys going had talked about it. They said let’s not focus on the drama. They all wanted make Charity smile on the date. Charity herself went into the date with high expectations.
She was coming off having a great time with Dotun. Dotun was a nice guy. He made an impression on Charity. He impressed her with his calm confidence. He also wanted to win her over.
Which couldn’t be said of Brayden. Brayden was all ready to leave one moment and was prepared to stay the next. He doesn’t quite know what he wants. Much less fight for it. He still went into the group date hoping to have time with Charity, but that time was dependent on three little girls.
Three girls from the Girl Scouts met the guys in the woods. They said they wanted to be impressed by the guy’s resourcefulness, strength, and bravery before they chose one special guy to hang out with Charity at the Kissing Tree.
They went into the woods to scavenge for food. Brayden did the absolute most by going in without his jacket. He also made animal noises. He left the path to go run off into the woods and he was eating mushrooms. The guys all felt he was doing a little too much.
They became annoyed by Brayden. They then had a questionnaire right after that in which they were asked who would they eat amongst the guys. The guys all chose Brayden. They said he was overcompensating. They called him annoying.
Brayden also said he wanted to end the Bachelorette with just being content. Everyone else said in love or on one knee. Brayden said he wanted to end the show without wanting anything else. Brayden lost the competition with the girl scouts.
Aaron B. ended up winning and so Brayden complained about it the whole way back. Aaron got time at the Kissing Tree with Charity. He went back to the house talking about how the tree went. He said he could see himself proposing to Charity and Brayden doesn’t think he is there.
Brayden packed his bags twice because he isn’t sure if they’ll still be dating after this. Or if he will fall in love with Charity. Charity walked in on the guys discussing this. She then pulled aside Brayden because she wanted to show him that she does have feelings for him.
She wanted to put aside his doubts and nothing she said got through to him. Brayden left the show. It was a mutual decision on both Charity and Brayden’s part, but Charity was hurt by him leaving. She really wanted clarity and that’s what she got.
All the other guys couldn’t wait to throw Brayden under the bus. They claimed he was there for the wrong reasons. They said that Charity made the right decision because she deserves better and really an audience at home was watching with the full knowledge that Charity might not end up with anyone at all from this season.
Brayden may have been negative only he had been right when he said this show wasn’t real life. Engagements shouldn’t be dependent on a brief summer romance. Not that anyone can tell Aaron B that.
Aaron couldn’t wait to tell Charity how glad he was that the toxicity was out of the house. He didn’t get the group date rose. That went to Joey. Only Aaron was still happy because he said he could be getting engaged soon to Charity.
Charity meanwhile went on another one on one with someone else. She went out with Xavier. They went to the farmer’s market. They talked. He made her smile. She got to flirt. She also made a critical no-no. She talked about her ex with Xavier. She was very lucky that Xavier was very much an adult in this matter.
He wasn’t like Brayden who would have made it about him. Xavier just listened to Charity. He promised to be a different man compared to her ex and he told her that she will always get honesty from him. Charity on the other hand still had a few doubts about Xavier.
She was left questioning their connection more than any other solo date she’s had. Her date with Dotun went much better. She developed a true bond with Dotun. She still offered Xavier a rose only it came after much hesitancy.
The other guys all felt confident going into tonight’s rose ceremony. Then Brayden shows up. Brayden was supposed to have left already and yet he came back. Why? Everyone wanted to know why? Brayden walked in on Charity as she was kissing someone else.
Charity had no time for him. He should have just stayed gone because now things were awkward. He said he came back because he wanted to make sure that Charity knew it was nothing she did. He was in a bad place and he told Charity that problem was all him.
Charity said she knew that. She wasn’t blaming herself at all. They parted ways and the other guys chose to confront him at his car. They wanted to tell him he was trash. They told him he should never have come back.
They got in the way of the door closing to the van and so he couldn’t leave until they said what they had to say. They all came down on Brayden for interrupting their time with Charity tonight. Mind you Charity had already showed him the door.
She didn’t need guys getting in Brayden’s face because they had to leave the party to do that. They could just as easily have stayed to check on Charity.
Ego was getting in the way of what they claimed they wanted. If they had been the first guy to talk to Charity after her second run-in with Brayden, Charity would have looked more favorably on them.
She would have thought she was a priority with them. John wasted what little time he had with Charity to yell at Brayden. He should have just gone back to the party. He and the others returned to find out that the party was over. It was time for the rose ceremony. Charity chose her guys and she eliminated Caleb, John, and Michael.
They along with Brayden will not make it to the final ceremony or the Hometowns.
