Tonight’s episode begins with Aram, he is about to get on his bike when he sees Raymond across the street. He calls out to him, but Red only looks at him, and gets in a cab and leaves. Adam calls Cooper and tells him that he would like to speak to him, Red is in NY, outside the MET, just walking by himself, no security. He looked different, had a full beard, but it was him. All of a sudden an explosion goes off in a townhouse.
Dembe gets a call from Cooper, he tells him that is taking forever to go over Marvin Gerard’s stuff. Cooper asks if he has heard from Red, he says no. Cooper reveals that Red is in NY and probably connected to an explosion on the upper east side. Cooper says he is coming in, he loved being home with Agnes.
Ressler is in a support group, he says every day is a struggle, he has a hard time letting go of the past. It is hard for him to accept that he lost someone that he loved and it cannot become undone. He became an addict, he wishes it didn’t happen, but it did. He is 311 days sober.
Ressler is leaving his therapy when he sees Dembe sitting on bench close by. Ressler asks if Red is back, Dembe says not exactly, he will explain on the way to NY. When they arrive, they go on the scene of the explosion. There is a lot of damage, a single device on the top floor. The cops don’t know what happened and they cannot go inside because it is a Chinese building and they are not allowed to go inside. Chin Yao walks up, he is the head of this consular post. Ressler says they think it is a targeted attack. Dembe asks him for access to the camera footage. Chin says no, they don’t want anyone but his people to look into this. A fireman comes up and tells Ressler and Dembe they are going to want to see something. It is a woman, she is dead. The device was in a mail cart not far from her. They find a laptop nearby, Ressler picks it up.
Chin calls Wujing and tells him FBI is inside and they have recovered a body. The woman’s name was Jennifer Moores, she was on the Blacklist as part of a heist crew that specialized in robbing criminals. Wujing says she gave them the information they needed, everything stays on schedule. He knows it was Red, and says he will do anything from him revealing the truth, but he will and then he will suffer for what he has done.
Dembe, Cooper and Ressler are at the bureau, clearly whatever Moore was doing, Red didn’t want to happen. Cooper says Adam and Alina won’t be easy to replace, but they can’t do this with just the three of them.
Dembe calls Chuck, says he was to talk to Red. Chuck says he didn’t know Red was back. Dembe asks him to make some calls and find out what is gong on.
Dembe has Mrs. Ito and her son brought in, she is surprised to find out the Dembe is now with the FBI and not Red. Dembe says they have a situation and they need Tadashi to help them. He gives his word that nothing will happen to her son. Cooper wants the kid to crack Moore’s computer before they get shut down from having it.
Chin and Cooper are in front of a judge for the laptop. Cooper asks Chin why Jennifer Moore’s was in that building, Chin refuses to answer. Tadashi has got into the computer, Dembe calls Cooper and tells they are close and he says stop, they are ordered to stop. Dembe tells Tadashi who is not happy about it. Before they do, they did get some information. Moore’s was casing Luxe International who stores expensive artwork. Moore’s was planning a heist. Moore’s had a list and she had her one thing, a sculpture named Night Owl. Cooper thinks the Chinese hired Moore to steal the Night Owl for themselves.
Ressler and Dembe go to Luxe and let them know they are targeted. A woman there reveals that she is Meera Malik’s daughter. Her boss is giving them the brush. Ressler makes a call to Cooper and they get in. They find out that they do have the Night Owl, but it is not a sculpture, it is a prisoner they recently transported, it is Alban Veseli, the freelancer.
Meanwhile, Red is looking at a building, but it doesn’t appear to be what he is looking for, he wants a discreet place, invisible. Andrea, the real estate agent, says she doesn’t have anything like that available.
Malik says Alban won’t talk, Ressler asks to have a shot at him, he tell her that they have history. Dembe and Ressler go in and Alban laughs that Dembe has a badge. He tells that he has no idea who Moore’s is. All of a sudden, they hear automatic rifles, something is going on. It’s actually Wujing and he orders his men to find Alban Veseli. Ressler calls Dembe and says they are under attack, the Night Owl is Veseli. Resller is wondering how Wujing’s men knew where to find Veseli an it turns out that Mail’s boss, Richard took a bribe and gave them the information. Malik is hit, but she is wearing a vest.
Ressler tells Cooper about Malik’s daughter, her name is Siya, she is at DC General just to make sure she is ok.
Cooper gets a call, Red is on his way to the bureau. When he arrives, Cooper tells him that they tried to reach him. Red admits he was involved with Moores’ death. He had hoped to contain the matter himself, but he can’t. He says Wujing is the weapon, but this is all Marvin. Wujing knows about the task force, Mavin told him when they were in prison. Wujing wants to kill Red and for him to know about the task force. Red tells them that this is only the beginning. Dembe asks Red where Chuck is, Red said he doesn’t know. Dembe asks him what is going on, Red says nothing and everything and leaves.
Siya meets with Cooper, she tells him they have more security protocols than the Whitehouse. She says she choose this type of life because there were too many secrets. Siya wants to continue the work that her mother started. She wants to work with the task force until this case is done, she says she will think about it. She tells him that he needs agents he can trust, and she is one.
Wujing has Veseli and tells him that they have a common enemy.
