The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, August 4, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) continued begging Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) not to leave with the kids.
Finn argued that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was trying to destroy their marriage, so he pushed Steffy not to let Liam erode her faith and trust in him.
Steffy argued that Finn was the one who did that, not Liam.
Although it broke Steffy’s heart, she insisted she couldn’t stay in the house with Finn.
Steffy reiterated that she was taking the children to Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) house where they would all be safer.
At Spencer Publications, Liam flashed back through romantic memories with Steffy over the years and eventually remembered the kiss he planted in Rome, too.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) place, he canoodled with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) under the covers and admitted he was glad over her freedom.
Sheila thanked Deacon for being the only person she could count on for so long, but she hoped to be able to count on Finn soon as well.
Back at the cliff house on Friday’s B&B episode, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) showed up after being summoned by Finn, who hugged her and admitted that Steffy walked out on him.
Li asked what on earth happened, so Finn explained all the beach drama and how he took his eyes off Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay). When Li realized Kelly almost drowned, she was horrified.
Finn assured Li that Kelly was OK and revealed it was thanks to Sheila, who showed up and saved her life.
Finn also admitted he was so grateful that he defended Sheila and pushed Steffy to cut her some slack.
That news left Li appalled, but she was even more riled up after Finn confessed to reciprocating Sheila’s embrace at the courthouse.
Li fumed over Finn hugging that monster and ranted that it was no wonder that Steffy left him!
At the Forrester mansion, Steffy got Kelly and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks) settled in. While the kids were coloring in the other room, Liam rushed over after being summoned.
Steffy gave Liam updates on Kelly almost drowning before their daughter suddenly appeared. Liam took Kelly in his arms and said he heard what happened today, so Kelly admitted it was scary.
After Liam said it was a good thing Finn was there to save Kelly, she informed him that it was Finn’s mommy who saved her instead. Kelly left the room again, so Steffy confirmed that Sheila was the one who saved her.
Although Liam was grateful that Kelly was OK, he ranted that Sheila shouldn’t be anywhere near Steffy or the kids.
When Steffy confessed that Finn turned his back on Kelly, Liam flipped out since Finn only had one job on the beach – and that was to keep her safe!
Steffy also said she confronted Finn about the hug, but he didn’t really have a good explanation.
Finn could only tell Steffy that he wasn’t hugging Sheila in that moment; he was hugging the woman who gave birth to him.
Liam started ranting again, but Steffy urged him to stop since she’d had a hard enough day already.
After Liam dialed down his rage, he told Steffy that he didn’t think he wanted Finn alone with Kelly anymore.
Steffy didn’t feel safe to be around Finn with the kids considering the whole Sheila situation, so they were living there at the Forrester mansion now.
When Liam asked if Steffy left Finn, she confessed that she did.
Kelly returned to bring a picture that she’d colored and wondered why Steffy was crying. Liam and Steffy acted like they were just really grateful that Kelly was OK.
After Liam said he would always keep Kelly, Hayes and Steffy safe, he told Kelly that he loved her so much – and her mommy, too. Kelly was sandwiched in the middle as she shared a group hug with Steffy and Liam.
