The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, June 16, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) teased RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) over all the women drooling over him in the Forrester gym area.
As the guys worked out, they discussed Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) being on the Rome trip, which Liam obviously still disapproved of.
However, RJ pointed out Thomas had too much to lose, so he didn’t think Thomas was going to cross any lines.
Finn thought Thomas had genuinely changed and said the best evidence of that was Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) belief in her brother.
Liam admitted that Steffy said she’d keep an eye on Thomas and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), so she’d see if anything was going on.
On the Forrester jet, Hope praised Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) for securing the permits and for being such a big help with this trip.
Once Hope gushed over Thomas’ artistry and talent, Steffy and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) glared over the warm moment between them.
Carter noticed Thomas and Hope’s bond a little later, so he hyped up what a great team they were to Steffy and suggested they totally “got” each other.
Steffy said they certainly did as she continued to watch Hope and Thomas’ interactions on the plane.
Over with Brooke on Friday’s B&B episode, she talked to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about romantic Rome and hoped it could help him believe in destiny again.
Once Trevor (Ryan Stroud) the Forrester pilot announced that they were starting their descent, Hope and the others were pumped about finally landing in Italy.
Back in Los Angeles, RJ got a text from Brooke with updates on the jet landing safely.
Liam fished to find out if Brooke had any other news and was still uneasy over the whole Thomas situation.
After Liam admitted Hope invited him to Rome at the last minute, he said he didn’t want to be the creepy, jealous husband who was keeping tabs on her.
Finn suggested that Liam should surprise Hope in Italy – not as a super jealous husband type, but as a romantic one who wanted to make an epic show of support.
RJ agreed that Hope would be ecstatic if Liam did that, so Liam got excited over the idea and decided to go for it.
After Brooke and the others arrived in Rome, she told Ridge that he wouldn’t be able to escape the magic. Carter backed Brooke up about the place being pretty magical as he walked by.
Meanwhile, Steffy looked concerned as she spied Hope talking to Thomas in the distance, especially once Hope reached out to touch him tenderly.
Hope told Thomas that this trip wouldn’t be a reality if it wasn’t for him, so she thought he should be proud.
