The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, May 5, reveals that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) laughed over RJ Forrester’s (Joshua Hoffman) sketch and told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that their son really captured his essence.
When Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) appeared, she laughed over the sketch as well and thought it was nice that they were finally acting like the extended family that they should’ve been all along.
Brooke was pleased over their daughters following in their footsteps when it came to their friendship.
In fact, Brooke hoped that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) might end up as best friends, too.
Ridge and Taylor were also glad that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was on the right path these days.
Brooke hoped the improved version of Thomas stuck and that she could learn to trust him like Hope in time.
At Il Giardino, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) told Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) about paying Thomas a visit and getting the same old spiel about how he definitely wasn’t obsessed with Hope anymore.
Wyatt warned Liam not to discuss Thomas too much in his home life, so Liam pointed out that Hope had actually been really good about carving out time for just the two of them.
Liam added that he didn’t know what he did to deserve a woman like Hope.
In the Forrester Creations design office, Petra (Alexis Gaube) talked about Hope and Thomas making magic together, so Steffy piped up nearby about them being great business partners.
Once Thomas and Hope were done discussing the adjustments on the latest gown, Petra stepped off the riser and reminded Thomas that he could see her after work anytime.
Thomas said he’d remember that before Hope cleared her throat like she was uncomfortable.
Steffy raised an eyebrow nearby and talked about the preorder numbers being released today.
Hope was nervous about the big news, but she was grateful to Thomas for helping breathe life into her line again.
Thomas once again thanked Hope for giving him another chance and grabbed Hope’s hand when she crossed her fingers.
After Thomas said there was no need for crossing them, he promised Hope that it would all work out as she left to learn the preorder numbers.
After watching Thomas and Hope’s interaction, Steffy had to ask if her brother was still fixated on Hope.
Thomas appreciated the concern, but he assured Steffy that he was focused on being a good designer, dad, son and brother.
Even if Hope threw herself at Thomas, he insisted he would say no.
Thomas acknowledged that would never happen and said it was just a joke, but Steffy pointed out that it was too soon for jokes like that.
However, Thomas maintained that he had his priorities straight and was in control of his life, so there was no reason for Steffy to worry.
Steffy hugged Thomas and acted relieved, but she still seemed a bit uneasy over his shoulder.
Later, Hope met back up with Thomas and pretended to be disappointed since the numbers weren’t good…they were great!
Thomas scolded Hope for the fake-out, but she smiled and admitted she couldn’t resist.
As Thomas talked about the designs that flowed into his hands, Hope said she was grateful for those hands and took them in her own.
Hope locked eyes with Thomas as they continued to hold hands and thanked him for seeing her the way that he did.
Since the door was ajar on Friday’s B&B episode, Steffy heard Hope gushing over Thomas and witnessed the intense moment between them.
After Thomas went looking for a sketchpad in the CEO office, he thought back to holding hands with Hope and furrowed his brow like he was puzzled.
Meanwhile, Steffy confronted Hope for flirting with Thomas by looking right into his eyes and laying it on thick.
Since Steffy refused to let Hope or anyone else derail her brother’s recovery, she pushed for the truth and asked if Hope had feelings for Thomas.
