The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, October 6, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) reiterated that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) could do better than Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), even if he was reformed like his family believed.
Hope reflected on Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) always having a tie to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but she couldn’t imagine Steffy ever taking Finn’s love and commitment for granted.
After Hope thanked Finn for the talk, he suggested everything was going to be all right and called her a strong, compassionate, beautiful person.
Finn felt confident there was a man out there who would love Hope with his whole heart, but he insisted Thomas wasn’t the right guy.
At home, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) celebrated their engagement with a bottle of bubbly.
Sheila hoped that maybe this engagement would help Finn see that she wasn’t unlovable – though she assured Deacon that wasn’t why she accepted his proposal.
After Sheila talked about wanting a second chance, she added that she didn’t want Finn to think of her as the monster Steffy and the Forresters had made her out to be.
As Sheila’s new fiancé, Deacon promised to do whatever he could to make that happen and ultimately summoned Finn to Il Giardino.
When Finn arrived and learned this was about Steffy, he was all ears.
Deacon thought he could help with the Sheila situation and launched a speech about his own transformation from inmate to successful businessman. It was proof that people could change.
Finn didn’t see what this had to do with Steffy, but then Sheila appeared and took Deacon’s hand as she sat down beside him.
As Finn realized Deacon and Sheila were a couple, Sheila said she finally found someone who loved her.
Since Sheila was so happy, she hoped Finn could be happy for her, too.
Back with Hope, she flashed back to Finn comforting her and offering her advice about Thomas, so that left her looking pensive and perplexed.
Eric Forrester (John McCook) also paid a visit to Forrester Creations with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), so that led to some joking with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about the competition.
However, Eric had to hide his tremors and eventually seemed weak, so Donna made an excuse about a meeting and took him home.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric had another coughing fit and noticed blood on his hand, but he hid that from Donna as they hugged.
Back with Ridge, he told Carter that he’d apparently been worried for nothing since Eric seemed to be doing great. Ridge felt like Eric was at the top of his game.
In the design office on Friday’s B&B episode, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) told Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) that he spoke to Donna, who admitted Eric was worse than they previously thought.
RJ suggested it could be cerebrovascular disease or TIAs, so he was concerned due to the online research he’d done.
Luna thought that staying positive could do wonders, but she also acknowledged how hard it must be for RJ to carry the burden of this secret.
That was something Luna understood, so RJ jokingly asked if she was in the CIA.
Luna felt lucky to get this internship since it had always been her dream to work at Forrester Creations.
Once Luna said she was grateful for this opportunity to work with RJ and get to know him better, he got called away.
On his way out, RJ let Luna know that he was glad to have her at Forrester Creations, too.
In a moment alone, Luna took a call from her mom, Poppy (Romy Park), but she said she was too busy to talk.
Poppy insisted Luna had to come home right away and emphasized the fact that Luna couldn’t be in Los Angeles.
After Poppy said she knew what Luna was doing, she added that her daughter couldn’t be at Forrester Creations.
Luna lied that she wasn’t, but Poppy countered that it was right there on the website!
Poppy hinted about her sister having a negative reaction, so she pushed Luna to consider what Aunt Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) and Finn would think.
Luna argued that she was following her dreams, but Poppy said it was only a matter of time before Luna was found out – and then it would all come crashing down.
Once a tearful Luna ended the phone call, RJ returned and pushed for news on what was wrong.
