The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, August 7, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) assured Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) of his love, so she sought confirmation that he loved Mommy, too.
Liam insisted he’d always love Kelly AND Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) before Kelly ran in the other room to check on Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks).
After Liam admitted his shock over Steffy packing up the kids and leaving John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), he said they’d all be safer at the Forrester mansion.
Although Steffy hated saying anything negative about Finn after everything they’d been through, she didn’t know how to trust him anymore.
Steffy confessed that during their argument, Finn pushed her to cut Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) some slack.
Liam totally understood why Steffy was upset with Finn and promised she could always lean on him. Steffy let Liam take her hands before he insisted he wasn’t going anywhere.
At the cliff house, Finn tried to put the blame on Liam for undermining his marriage, but Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) felt that this was about Finn’s bad decisions regarding Sheila.
Li thought Steffy was justified in leaving since Finn had become vulnerable to Sheila’s threat.
When Li asked why Finn hugged Sheila back, he couldn’t explain why he felt something for his birth mother.
Since Finn was grateful to Sheila for saving Kelly on the beach, he admitted to calling her “Mom” in that moment.
Li was appalled over Finn asking Steffy to cut Sheila some slack after all the horrible things she’d done.
Finn wanted Li’s support, but she refused to coddle him and warned that he’d lose Steffy forever if he didn’t put an end to all this with Sheila.
However, Li still had hope for Finn and Steffy’s future if he could put Steffy first.
Once Finn was alone on Monday’s B&B episode, he gazed at family photos and flashed back to some Monaco reunion memories. That strengthened Finn’s resolve as he declared he wouldn’t lose Steffy again.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) gushed over all the interviews Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) had in the works.
Hope was the new “it girl” in the fashion world, so she confessed she was glad to be distracted from the divorce news.
Brooke wondered if Hope was really going through with the official split, so Hope confirmed she was. Hope also reminded Brooke that she couldn’t share Liam’s love with Steffy any longer.
After Brooke questioned where things stood between Hope and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Hope pointed out that she was mostly concentrating on work these days.
That said, Hope did feel like Thomas was all about her – unlike Liam, who had forced her to compete with Steffy for his affections.
Hope didn’t have time for the competition anymore, but Brooke still acted like Hope should fight for Liam and the love they shared.
