The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, December 18, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) suggested Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) loved ones should focus on the positives since Eric pulled through.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) lashed out since Eric flatlined in recovery, but Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) insisted that Eric came back. Finn explained that Eric had been stabilized, but Ridge worried that maybe his father wanted to go and that he should’ve let him.
Brooke, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) all thought that giving Eric one final chance with this treatment was the right thing to do.
Even so, Ridge worried about Eric’s quality of life and feared he’d be trapped in his body like this because of his own son.
In the design office at Forrester Creations, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) cleared his throat to interrupt RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) and Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) kiss.
Soon after, Zende got updates on Ridge almost pulling the plug on Eric and expressed outrage. RJ defended Ridge since he was in such a tough situation, but Zende was still irritated.
Luna eventually played peacemaker, so she reminded RJ and Zende that Eric wanted them to be kind to one another.
After Ridge and Brooke took a break from the hospital, they ended up in Eric’s office. Ridge ultimately spoke to RJ alone there and asked for his help to keep the company going in Eric’s absence.
If this collection was really going to be Eric’s swan song, then Ridge wanted to finish it according to his dad’s vision.
RJ was in the room when Eric was creating his final designs, so Ridge asked RJ to help him finish the line. Once RJ agreed, he hugged Ridge as they resolved to make Eric proud.
Back with Zende, he got to know Luna a bit better and quizzed her about her love for fashion. Zende also reflected on Eric’s last collection and vowed to do whatever it took to finish it.
In Finn’s office, he wished he’d figured out this experimental treatment sooner so that he could’ve let Eric make the choice for himself. Steffy knew Finn had done all he could do and could never thank him enough for that.
Once Brooke returned to the hospital on Monday’s B&B episode, she made her way into unconscious Eric’s room and took his hand as she cried.
