The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 24, reveals that Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett) stood by his decision despite all the outrage in his chambers. After Judge Scott argued that any other judge would’ve ruled the same way, he said he had no choice but to set Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) free.
In the hallway, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) made a phone video of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) hugging Sheila, who gushed over being given a second chance.
Before Sheila was led off to process her release, she told Finn that she believed a miracle could happen for them, too.
Once Finn returned to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), she questioned where he’d been. Finn said he had to check on something and agreed when Steffy assumed he meant a patient.
Liam glared at Finn as Steffy continued to reel over the news of Sheila’s release.
After Liam piped up about needing to keep the family safe, he asked if Finn agreed – even though Sheila was his birth mother.
Finn argued that of course he agreed and acted like the fact that Sheila was his bio mom made no difference.
The doc insisted that he was just as upset as everyone else that Sheila was free.
Next on Monday’s B&B episode, Sheila scored a visit with Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes), who assumed that Judge Scott threw the book at her.
Mike was stunned when Sheila revealed that she was being released instead.
Sheila told Mike goodbye and let him know that she’d never forget everything he’d done for her.
Mike just wanted Sheila to be happy and chuckled over her always landing on her toes – all nine of them!
Sheila was eager to make the most of the second chance she’d been given, so she wanted to be a real mother to Finn and a real grandmother to Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris).
Deep down, Sheila was certain that Finn still loved his mom.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) shared a toast with RJ Forrester (Anthony Hoffman) as they looked forward to hearing positive updates on Sheila’s sentence.
When Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) arrived, they filled Brooke and RJ in on Sheila’s charges being dismissed.
At the cliff house, Steffy remained a nervous wreck and quickly noticed Finn seemed remarkably calm.
After Steffy asked why Finn wasn’t upset, he insisted that he was and tried to reassure Steffy.
Once Steffy said Sheila needed to stay as far away from their family as possible, she begged Finn to tell her that he understood that. Steffy pushed Finn to promise that he’d never have any contact with Sheila, so he made that promise.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) was shocked to learn Sheila’s charges were dropped and that Liam found Finn hugging Sheila in the aftermath.
When Wyatt questioned why Finn would want anything to do with Sheila after everything she’d done, Liam said he didn’t know – but he was going to find out!
If Finn was cozy with Sheila now, then he was unable to protect Steffy and the kids. Liam argued that was his job now if that was the case.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Steffy and Finn’s marriage is headed for big trouble, so stay tuned.
