The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, June 12, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) seemed suspicious as she snapped Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) out of her fantasy.
Hope said everything was under control, but Steffy sensed a vibe and thought this had something to do with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
When Steffy asked how Hope felt about Thomas going to Rome, Hope insisted they were a team and that she supported the idea.
Steffy worried about Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) reaction, but Hope asked if John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told Steffy how to run Forrester Creations.
Steffy said no, so Hope pointed out that Liam didn’t tell her how to run her line either.
After Hope reiterated that she had everything under control, Steffy hoped so.
Meanwhile, Thomas told Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) that if she came to Rome, she could see how connected and in sync he was with Hope.
Brooke made the decision official with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who planned to set up some meetings and interviews for her.
Thomas wondered if it’d be weird for Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) if Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) were in Rome together, but Ridge insisted this was just a business trip.
Since Thomas had heard about the falling out between Brooke and Taylor, he thought it was a shame.
Thomas and Hope’s relationship would have to keep the renewed peace between their families now – at least that’s how Thomas saw it.
Brooke insisted Thomas and Hope didn’t have to feel responsible for that, but Thomas thought they could set an example.
After Thomas exited, Ridge questioned the look on Brooke’s face and wondered if she thought something was going on between Hope and Thomas.
When Thomas walked in the design office, he immediately sensed tension between Steffy and Hope.
Steffy said Hope was just talking about how happy she was that Thomas would be there with her in Italy.
Once Steffy added that she wouldn’t let anything or anyone get in the way of relaunching the line, Thomas insisted this trip was just about business and nothing else.
After Steffy left on Monday’s B&B episode, Thomas told Hope not to worry about his sister being bossy and joked about it being made worse by the fact that she was the actual boss.
Although Liam and some of the others were stressed, Thomas reiterated that this trip would strictly be about business and that there was no need for concern.
Hope said she believed Thomas and that she trusted him, but her heart started pounding as she once again fantasized about making love to Thomas in Rome.
Back with Ridge and Brooke, they talked about this trip being a game-changer.
Brooke admitted she was looking forward to being alone with Ridge and smiled at him.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) insisted Liam couldn’t let this trip happen, but Liam didn’t know what he was supposed to do.
After Wyatt pointed out that Thomas was the problem and not Hope, he pushed Liam to find some way to keep Thomas from going.
Wyatt felt that Liam hit the jackpot when he convinced Hope to marry him since she was fully committed.
Once Wyatt said Hope wouldn’t even think of being unfaithful, he pointed out how different she was from Brooke.
Liam hated how much time Hope was having to spend with Thomas, especially with this Italy trip coming up.
Wyatt hoped that maybe Hope could find a new designer after the pressure of survival was off.
Liam insisted Thomas was the problem and always had been, so he just wished he could keep him away from the fashion preview.
Wyatt warned that it’d be a huge mistake for Liam to let his guard down – even for a second.
After Wyatt suggested maybe Liam should go to Rome too, Liam said he didn’t want to be “that guy” who tags along and keeps tabs.
Furthermore, Liam wasn’t thrilled about having a front-row seat to the Hope and Thomas show that would inevitably come with the preview.
In the end, Wyatt said Liam just had to trust his wife since the last thing he wanted to do was create an issue between them, especially when Hope was going to Rome with Thomas.
