The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, March 20, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) complained to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) since this sting operation was only supposed to last a week. It had been months of this phony love affair, so Bill ranted about hating Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and said this made him want to puke.
The FBI agent (Brian Yang) monitored Sheila’s call, so she could be heard admitting that Bill was acting strange.
Sheila wondered if Bill suspected something about her romance with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), but she didn’t know how he’d be onto her.
Bill told Ridge that Deacon was doing him a favor by spending time with Sheila; that was just less time that Bill had to spend with her.
Plus, Bill was able to plant seeds in Sheila’s brain and make her squirm since she was on edge.
Although Bill felt like he almost got Sheila to confess, he pointed out that the lights flickered and stopped her.
The FBI agent acknowledged the technical glitch and vowed that it wouldn’t happen again.
Bill admitted that he didn’t know the lengths he’d have to go to when he involved the FBI.
After Bill snapped that it’d better not be for nothing, Ridge said they needed a confession – one for actually killing somebody.
Since Sheila might still get out of prison on attempted murder charges, Ridge and Bill were working to get her on murder one.
Bill talked about everyone thinking he’d lost his mind and fallen for Sheila, but Ridge said they’d eventually learn the truth and consider him a hero.
Although Bill was struggling to get the confession he was after, Ridge pushed him to step it up and make it happen.
Once Ridge talked about his kids thinking he was in Europe, he said he was actually close by trying to keep everyone safe.
Since every attempt to keep Sheila locked up had failed, Bill and Ridge were committed to getting a murder confession out of her.
Bill opened up about how hard it was to keep up this act with Sheila and reflected on the night it all began.
B&B flashbacks showed Bill luring Sheila to the beach and talking with her all night.
Bill played the part of a heartbroken, misunderstood man and pretended to pour his heart out to Sheila.
That gave Bill a chance to prey on Sheila’s vulnerabilities and reel her in with the promise of freedom.
The plan to involve the FBI was risky, but Bill said he made sure to exonerate Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) of any charges.
Although Bill didn’t know how much more of this he could take, Ridge pointed out they were close to putting Sheila away forever and told him not to quit now.
Back at Bill’s place, Sheila remained on the phone and said she couldn’t afford to make any mistakes.
Deacon urged Sheila to get it together and stay strong, but he had to disconnect when Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) arrived.
Hope could tell that Deacon was tense, so she sought updates on what was bothering him.
After Deacon and Hope discussed the news of Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) return to her line, she brought the conversation back to her dad’s stress level.
However, Deacon blamed it on the typical restaurant stuff and downplayed his problems.
Once Deacon assured Hope that he had everything under control, he vowed not to do anything that would ruin the life he was building.
Over with Sheila again, she looked at a framed photo of herself standing next to Bill.
Sheila thought back to Bill saying he loved her and seemed pensive over the memory.
