The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Thursday, December 21 – Ridge Pushes Eric for a Sign – Finn & Bridget’s Urgent Step

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 21, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was concerned about Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) risk of injection and got Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) to agree he needed to be removed from the ventilator today.

At the Forrester mansion, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) feared she was wrong to pressure Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) into the experimental procedure, but Ridge acted like there was no point in second-guessing things now.

Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) found Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) old Bible and read a passage from it as she tried to offer comfort.

Bridget eventually called Ridge and relayed concerns about infection among other problems.

Eric needed to be taken off the ventilator, but Ridge wondered if it was too soon.

Bridget couldn’t give Eric a definitive answer, but she pushed him to get to the hospital so they could discuss it.

Ridge gave Brooke and Steffy updates on his phone conversation before they all headed over there.

Back in Eric’s room, Finn spoke to his unconscious patient and gave him a little pep talk about needing to breathe on his own.

In the design office, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) vented to Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) about RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) getting the chance to finish Eric’s collection instead of him.

However, Zende ultimately insisted the only thing that mattered now was Eric coming home to all of them.

It was just tough for Zende since he felt powerless and wished he could do something for his grandad.

After Ridge called with news about Eric needing to come off the ventilator, Zende hoped his grandfather could breathe on his own.

Luna chose to stay positive, so Zende gushed over how “chill” and nonjudgmental she was. Since Luna had so many great qualities, Zende could see why RJ was crazy about her.

Once Zende said RJ was a smart guy, he added that RJ was lucky to have Luna.

Back at the hospital, Bridget spoke to Ridge, Steffy and Brooke about the importance of removing Eric from the ventilator.

Ridge asked if Bridget was sure it was the right move, but she felt it was the only move they had at this point.

Next on Thursday’s B&B episode, Brooke spoke sweetly to unconscious Eric and mentioned that Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) would be back from the chapel soon.

Bridget cried and promised they were doing everything they could to help. Steffy also got teary and hoped that Eric wouldn’t be upset with them for not being able to let him go.

Ridge said maybe it wasn’t Eric’s time and suggested a miracle might give Eric back the life he deserved – a life not attached to all the machines and wires.

Ridge told Eric that the doctors wanted to take him off the ventilator and get him breathing on his own.

It would put Eric a step closer to singing, dancing, creating and drinking martinis again.

Although Ridge knew it was scary, he insisted Eric wasn’t alone and that everyone was pulling for him.

That said, Ridge pointed out that Eric had to fight and urged him to show them a sign.

Eric suddenly began fluttering his eyes as he tried to open them, so Ridge and the others looked hopeful.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Eric’s loved ones will do their best to believe he’s going to make it, so stay tuned!
