The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 20, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) did Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) pre-trial exam, so Sheila talked about how she got paranoid every time her heart raced due to stress.
However, Sheila knew that she would’ve been a goner if Finn hadn’t saved her.
After Sheila made it clear that she’d never forget that, she said memories of Finn helped her sleep at night ahead of her day of reckoning.
The thought of living her life without Finn and Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris) was sometimes too much for Sheila, who loved them both so very much.
Sheila acknowledged the pain she’d caused, but she was proud of the fact that she’d given birth to Finn.
Finn said he’d always be grateful for that and admitted he hoped Sheila found her purpose, even if it was in prison.
Once Finn deemed Sheila healthy enough to stand trial, he pointed out that he’d be at the hearing along with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Sheila was glad she’d get to see Finn one last time and stopped him from leaving so she could once again remind him of her love.
After Sheila thanked God that Finn chose her to be his mother, she caught him off guard by wrapping her arms around him.
Finn dropped his doctor’s bag and hesitantly hugged Sheila back before making a confession.
When Sheila held Finn like that, it felt like something he’d been missing his whole life. Sheila pulled Finn into another embrace as he stood there looking conflicted.
At Il Giardino, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) looked glum as he noticed several happy couples all around him.
Once Liam flashed back to some blissful “Lope” wedding memories, he also remembered signing the divorce papers with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
Once Steffy showed up, she joined Liam at his table and asked how things were going with Hope. Liam explained that Hope had divorce papers drawn up and was now insisting his relationship with Steffy was the reason for their marriage problems.
Steffy thought Hope was just trying to throw blame elsewhere and didn’t approve of her moving ahead with the divorce so fast.
Liam assured Steffy that although he’d always care about her, he wasn’t harboring any romantic delusions and wouldn’t cross any more lines.
After Liam apologized for the kisses again, he talked about respecting Finn – especially since he’d overcome having psychopath Sheila as his bio mom.
Steffy insisted that Sheila would stay locked up for the rest of her life and added that Finn knew to keep his distance.
According to Steffy, Finn would never set eyes on Sheila ever again after what she did to them.
At Forrester Creations on Thursday’s B&B episode, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) stopped by and quizzed Hope about what was going on in her relationship with Liam.
Hope said this was about Liam’s feelings for Steffy and the fact that he couldn’t afford her the same grace when she’d forgiven him over the years.
Wyatt argued that Steffy and Liam had been over for a long time, but Hope noted that sometimes feelings don’t go away.
Since Hope didn’t want to end up on the same rollercoaster that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) had gone on with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), she was determined to get off the ride.
Hope confessed that the divorce papers had already been signed, so Wyatt was shocked once he got updates on that huge news.
Once Hope took responsibility for what happened with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) in Rome, she said this was really about Liam not fighting for them.
It was about years of betrayal and about Steffy’s place in Liam’s heart.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope may be right about Liam and Steffy’s forever bond, so stay tuned to see if a “Steam” reunion is brewing.
