The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 4, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) told RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) there was no pressure and that he didn’t care if he became a fashion designer for a living or not.
Ridge claimed he just wanted to see what RJ was capable of when it came to sketching, but RJ obviously still felt his dad’s pressure anyway.
Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) popped in briefly with security updates and told a story about how he enjoyed skinny-dipping, but Ridge managed to convince him to leave.
After RJ caved in and sketched something, Ridge was surprised to see it was a drawing of him.
RJ pointed out that Ridge wanted him to draw what inspired him – and that was his dad.
However, RJ was adamant about doing his own thing since he didn’t want to design dresses.
Ridge acted like being an influencer wasn’t a real career, so RJ teased him about sounding old.
RJ really didn’t want to disappoint Ridge, but he said he had to build his own future. Ridge pulled RJ into a hug and let his son know that he loved him.
In the design office, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) told Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) how glad she was to have him back at Hope for the Future.
Thomas said that he felt reborn, so Hope suggested he was like a phoenix rising from the ashes.
That gave Thomas another design idea, so he pointed out that Hope never stopped inspiring him.
Thomas admitted that he initially had no idea if the new-and-improved Thomas could pull off the same quality of work since his frustration and anger fueled him before.
Now Thomas confessed that Hope inspired him in a different way and explained that she inspired him with love.
Thomas talked about waking up in the morning with all these designs flowing through his mind and was pleased to have found peace.
Hope thought Thomas’ work was at another level now and could tell that he’d used that peace to become a better designer, father and man.
Afterward, Thomas bought a new dress from the sewing room, so Hope decided to try it on herself since no models were coming in until later.
While Hope was behind the changing screen, she thought back to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) talking about how Hope wasn’t like her mother and didn’t fall for bad boys.
Once Hope donned the dress, Thomas urged her to be careful on the riser since they didn’t want her to take a tumble like last time.
Thomas thought the dress looked great and got Hope’s permission to touch it, so he reached for the fringe as well as the hem at her thigh.
Although Thomas thought it was remarkable that Hope could trust him enough to work together like this, Hope could hear own heartbeat and was affected by the whole experience.
As Hope’s eyes remained wide, she once again thought back to Brooke’s comments about her daughter not desiring the wrong men like she did.
At Il Giardino on Thursday’s B&B episode, Count Bouche (Jimmie Walker) played up how he was a sommelier to the stars, but he acted like he didn’t want to “kiss and tell” when Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) asked about specific clients.
Count Bouche’s grandson, Orville (Tariq Logan aka TikTok’s “Corn Kid”), was hungry and asked if Deacon had corn, so Deacon brought him a plate of pizza, french fries and California corn on the cob.
Deacon put Count Bouche’s skills to the test by pouring glasses of wine and having him guess what region they were from based on taste.
There were cards in front of the glasses so that Orville could see the answers.
Count Bouche tasted the first one and saw that Orville was holding up a french fry, so he correctly identified that the wine was French.
Orville also helped Count Bouche with the Italian wine by holding up the pizza and then the Californian one by holding up the corn cob.
Deacon was duped into thinking Count Bouche really knew his stuff and vowed to get back to him about the job, so Count Bouche and Orville celebrated the good news.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Deacon will continue his efforts to make his restaurant a huge success, but Count Bouche obviously isn’t the best sommelier for Il Giardino!
