The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 8, reveals that Eric Forrester (John McCook) offered coffee to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who admitted she didn’t sleep well last night.
Eric assured Steffy that she was welcome at the Forrester mansion, but he didn’t push her to reveal anything about her situation since they were waiting on Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye).
Once Ridge showed up, Steffy admitted she’d be living there with the kids for a while.
After Steffy said she left John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), she explained that it was too dangerous at the cliff house.
Steffy gave Eric and Ridge updates on what happened on the beach, so they reeled over the news that Sheila saved Kelly Spencer’s (Sophia Paras McKinlay) life.
Of course, Ridge and Eric were both upset over Finn defending Sheila and admitting to feeling a connection to his birth mother – one that Steffy didn’t think would ever go away.
Although Ridge offered to move back in the mansion and help with the kids, Steffy turned him down and privately confessed something else to him.
Steffy told Ridge about Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) getting a weird vibe from Finn and following him out of the judge’s chambers.
Liam filmed a video of Finn hugging Sheila and showed it to Steffy, so she filled Ridge in on all that.
Steffy didn’t know how to trust her husband and feared that with Finn, Sheila was always going to be part of all their lives. That left Ridge wondering what happens now.
At the cliff house, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) made a surprise visit, so Finn confessed that Steffy took the kids and left him.
RJ was taken aback to learn Steffy walked out on Finn and asked why, so Finn explained that he took his eyes off Kelly and that Sheila saved her from drowning.
However, Finn argued that the real issue was Liam since he felt Steffy’s ex had it out for him.
According to Finn, Liam wanted Steffy back and was doing everything he could to undermine her marriage.
Finn assured RJ that he wasn’t going to let Liam get away with it!
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) couldn’t believe that Kelly almost drowned and told Liam he was sorry that happened.
Liam grumbled about Finn letting it happen and shocked Wyatt by revealing that Sheila pulled Kelly out of the water.
Although Wyatt was glad Kelly was OK, he thought this proved Sheila wasn’t going to stay away.
Liam felt that Steffy and the kids would be safe at Eric’s place, but he warned that Finn was a magnet for Sheila – especially after hugging her.
Thankfully, Liam felt that he was on the same page with Steffy about not letting “that monster” anywhere near their family.
Wyatt eventually brought up the two kisses Liam had planted on Steffy recently and acted like his feelings complicated things.
Liam acknowledged that he had a lot of history with Steffy and would continue to love her, but he claimed he really wasn’t trying to break up her marriage and was focused on safety.
Deep down, Wyatt thought maybe Liam realized this was an opportunity for him to possibly reunite with Steffy.
After Wyatt left on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Liam got out a framed photo of himself with Steffy and Kelly as a baby.
Finn arrived as Liam was putting it out and declared that he knew what Liam was doing.
Liam wondered if Finn meant looking out for his daughter because Finn couldn’t and said Kelly could’ve drowned.
Finn acknowledged how terrible he felt about what happened, but Liam kept ranting about Sheila and asked whether he was supposed to feel gratitude for Finn’s psycho mother.
Once Finn said Sheila was the reason Kelly was alive, Liam complained about Finn embracing her and mentioned the video.
Finn snapped about Liam taking that video straight to Steffy and called him a “little puke.”
Liam’s marriage to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) was ending, but Finn warned that didn’t give him a right to cycle back to Steffy and mess with her marriage.
Once Liam argued that Finn was creating problems on his own, he said that at least Steffy had taken the kids somewhere safe.
Finn hyped up the love and commitment he shared with Steffy – unlike Liam, who only had ancient history with her.
After Finn said Steffy was with a real man now, he insisted that he wasn’t going to let Liam interfere in his marriage.
“You need to stay away from Steffy! Stay away from my wife!” Finn declared.
