The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 21, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) talked about which days he could drive Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) to school and told Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) it was crazy that they had three kids now.
Steffy insisted this was just temporary and marveled over how calm Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had been when she dropped Douglas off.
After Steffy wished she could say the same for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Finn pointed out that it was almost like Thomas was making veiled threats.
When Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) arrived, she could tell something was wrong. Steffy admitted it was Thomas and offered updates on the fight she had with her brother earlier.
Taylor knew Steffy was trying to be mindful of Douglas’ well-being, but Steffy complained since Thomas didn’t understand that. Instead, Thomas thought Steffy was controlling him.
Finn suggested Thomas was dealing with a lot of pent-up resentment since Steffy had such a great life, including her job, happy marriage and positive relationship with her parents.
Although Finn understood that Thomas was upset, he said they had to look out for Douglas and their family.
Taylor hated all the feuding, so she decided to calm Thomas and summon him so she could play peacemaker.
At Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) apartment, she heard about Steffy and Finn shutting down Thomas’ visit with Douglas.
Paris thought Finn and Steffy should’ve had sympathy for how this was affecting Thomas, but Thomas said he let them know he wouldn’t be kept away from his own son.
Once Taylor called and asked Thomas to come over, he reluctantly agreed. Paris insisted Taylor was an expert and that if anyone could mediate, it was her.
Thomas said he needed to be able to talk to Douglas and have a relationship with him.
Steffy and Finn weren’t going to keep him from having that according to Thomas.
Once Thomas returned to the cliff house, Taylor said she heard that things got a little heated during his last visit.
Although this was a tough dilemma, Taylor had faith in Steffy and Thomas to work through the conflict.
Taylor didn’t want this Douglas situation to pull Thomas and Steffy apart any more than it already had.
Since Steffy and Thomas would always be her babies, Taylor pushed them to stop fighting and find the love.
Thomas ranted about Steffy asking him to leave her house on the heels of asking him to leave the company.
After Thomas pointed out how he had to deal with the look of disappointment in Taylor’s eyes, she urged him to look again since he’d see concern, love and worry.
Taylor said she was concerned for the entire family and felt confident that Douglas would want to go home soon.
Once that happened, Taylor declared that Thomas and Hope would share custody again.
Thomas said it was just one blow after another and ranted about Steffy punishing him for playing parent trap – even after she pushed him to do whatever it took.
Once Thomas sarcastically called Steffy a “beacon of loyalty,” Taylor reiterated that Steffy and Thomas should reach down deep so they could find the love. According to Taylor, the future of their family depended on it.
At the cabin on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) comforted Hope, who felt like she left a piece of her heart at Steffy’s.
Both Brooke and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) urged Hope to remember this wasn’t going to last forever.
Talk turned to Thomas, so Hope said he was doing remarkably well.
Liam admitted there was a catch since Thomas thought he was free to see Douglas whenever he wanted at Steffy’s place.
Brooke thought it was presumptuous of Thomas and acted like Douglas might not even want to see his dad.
Although Hope knew Douglas loved his father, she admitted he’d been guarded with Thomas after everything that had happened.
Liam also felt that Thomas would do things like show up with random gifts and try to guilt Douglas into spending time with him.
Brooke talked about Thomas being inconsistent, but Hope was at least glad that Steffy seemingly heard her concerns and was on the same page.
After Brooke offered a pep talk about Douglas being Hope’s son no matter what, Hope’s thoughts once again drifted to Thomas and his view of the situation.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope will hold out hope that Douglas will want to come home soon, so stay tuned for more custody news!
