The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 14, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) insisted that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) always took advantage of the situation, but Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) argued that wasn’t like that when she changed her mind and let Thomas back on her line.

Hope said the best part was that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) wanted to come home, so Liam asked if she was saying that Douglas only wanted to come home because Hope and Thomas were working together again.

However, Hope steered the conversation back to the simple truth of it, which was Thomas had to return or she would lose her line.

Liam felt like that was just Thomas’ pitch and suggested this was like déjà vu since Hope was once again letting Thomas back in her life.

After Liam pushed Hope to tell him why she changed her mind, she admitted he wasn’t going to like it.

Hope confessed that she really did believe Thomas had changed, so Liam was deeply concerned.

Liam was confused over why Hope believed that and ran down the list of Thomas’ horrible transgressions over the years.

Hope said everyone had good in them – even Thomas – and acknowledged that he had messed up in the past.

Liam insisted that Thomas was obsessed and had proven that he got dangerous when Hope turned him down.

As Liam’s temper flared, he demanded to know how Hope could let Thomas in her life since he was worried about Hope’s well-being and the safety of their family.

Nevertheless, Hope defended her decision since Thomas was seeking professional help and seemed to genuinely regret his actions.

Plus, Hope reiterated that they were setting a good example for Douglas since ne needed to see his parents getting along.

Although Hope was sorry to go back on her word, she wasn’t going to sacrifice her career over this and needed Liam to trust her.

Hope assured Liam that she put Thomas on notice and that if she saw even a glint of the old Thomas, then he would be gone.

Liam tried to argue, but Hope insisted he needed to listen to her and understand that she could look out for herself.

Once Hope pushed Liam to accept her decision, he said he could since it was clear Hope’s mind was made up.

Liam assured Hope that he loved her more than anything and added that he was just scared.

That said, Liam refused to let Thomas be the thing that came between them and their life together, so Hope thanked him for understanding.

As Hope and Liam embraced on Tuesday’s B&B episode, they both looked worried over each other’s shoulder.

At Forrester Creations, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was glad to see Thomas working at the office again, but she feared Liam was going to freak out once Hope gave him updates on her decision.

Thomas tried to stay optimistic since he was saving Hope for the Future and didn’t see how Liam could reject that.

Even so, Thomas told Steffy and ultimately Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) that he’d bow out if this was going to cause issues in Hope’s marriage.

Douglas returned from a trip to the cafeteria with Paris Buckingham (Diamond White), so Steffy said she heard he was ready to go back to the cabin.

After Douglas thanked Steffy for letting him stay with her for a while, she said they were happy to have him and that he was always welcome.

Douglas asked where Hope was and learned she was off filling Liam in on all the latest news – including Douglas’ homecoming and Thomas’ return to Hope for the Future.

That left Douglas worried Liam would get mad since he didn’t seem to like Thomas very much.

Steffy insisted Liam and Hope would figure it out before Thomas urged Douglas to focus on the love they all had for him.

Although Thomas knew he’d made mistakes in the past, he promised to never ever do that again and gave Douglas a hug.

In the design office, Taylor spoke with Steffy privately about Douglas spending so much time solving adult problems.

Now that Hope and Thomas were working together again, it was like Douglas felt his job was done and was ready to move back home.

Taylor thought Douglas should be focused on being a kid, not healing family drama.

In Taylor’s opinion, that issue was something to keep an eye on and see where it went from there.

Steffy and Taylor had faith in Thomas’ dedication to being the best father he could be.

As long as Thomas’ obsession with Hope was in the past, Steffy thought Thomas was a big winner in all of this.

Taylor assured Steffy that she wasn’t concerned about Thomas’ old fixation on Hope at all.

Back in the CEO office, Douglas asked if Thomas was excited about working with Hope again, so Thomas admitted he couldn’t wait to get started.

Douglas also said he heard things and that he knew Hope for the Future was in trouble. That’s why Hope needed Thomas’ help – so they could fix it together.

Douglas also wished he could be with his parents all the time, but Thomas pointed out that they had to respect Hope’s marriage to Liam.

Although Douglas said he did, he confessed that he still hoped to someday live with Thomas AND Hope so they could be a “real family.”

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Douglas’ dream could lead to trouble, so stay tuned to B&B!
