The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 12, reveals that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) appreciated Eric Forrester (John McCook) bringing RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) in on his new line, but she didn’t understand all the secrecy.
Eric slammed Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) for insulting him and treating him like a dinosaur, so he didn’t want his son to be part of this.
There’d come a time when Eric would step back and hand the reins to someone else, but he insisted that he wanted to create his final collection now.
Eric made it clear that this collection would be his and nobody else’s, so Ridge was being excluded because he didn’t want his son shoving him aside.
Brooke defended Ridge’s desire to see Eric relax after all the hard work he’d put in the company and tried to get Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) to back her up.
Of course, Donna argued that she wanted what Eric wanted – and right now, Eric wanted to create one last collection.
After Eric warned that Ridge needed to be at the top of his game, he insisted he was coming for Ridge and told Brooke to tell him that.
Once Brooke left, Donna worried about Eric getting all worked up and hated that RJ was caught in the middle.
RJ assured Eric of his support, so Eric hugged his grandson and felt confident that the best was yet to come.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was impressed as he watched Ridge work with Petra (Alexis Gaube) and Sloane (Riley Rasmussen) on the new designs they were wearing.
The models thought Ridge seemed more inspired than ever, so they wondered if that was because Ridge was back together with Brooke.
Thomas agreed that he hadn’t seen Ridge this motivated in a long time, so Ridge hinted about Brooke bringing that out of him.
Talk eventually turned to Ridge and Eric’s recent disagreement, so Ridge explained why he wanted his dad to take a step back.
Thomas was confused over Eric’s reaction to the discarded stapler and hated to hear about the conflict.
Ridge was trying to be respectful when it came to what Eric built, but he also pointed out that his father asked him to run Forrester Creations.
This was Ridge’s vision now, so he felt that the future of the company should be what he wanted as long as he was in charge.
After Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) worked out a lucrative deal over the phone on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) gave him a congratulatory kiss.
Katie and Carter discussed how Ridge was working on what might be his finest collection yet, but Carter couldn’t imagine Forrester Creations without Eric.
However, Katie thought Ridge might be right about Eric needing to relax more.
Carter suggested that sounded like retirement – and he argued against that since they still needed Eric at the company.
Katie understood where Carter was coming from, but she also played devil’s advocate and pointed out that Eric couldn’t stay there forever.
With that in mind, Katie hoped that the Forresters had a very comprehensive succession plan – not just for the sake of the company, but for the sake of Ridge and Eric’s relationship.
Once Brooke met up with Ridge, she gave him some shocking updates on RJ designing with Eric at the Forrester mansion.
Ridge was initially thrilled over the news, but Brooke went on to explain that Eric was working on a collection that’d be his grand finale.
Brooke added that Eric passed along a message, which involved Ridge stepping up his game since his dad was coming after him.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge had better listen to Eric’s warning and prepare for what’s brewing!
