The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 26, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) worried something more was drawing Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) – something besides work and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told Liam that he didn’t need to worry about Thomas having feelings for Hope and urged him to stop stressing out.
Liam assured Steffy that he wasn’t asking her to do anything creepy and weird – like spy on Hope. Steffy said that was good since it would indeed be creepy and weird if he did!
Liam considered the idea that maybe he’d underestimated Hope since she put up with his bond with Steffy and all their history.
With that mind, Liam suggested maybe Hope just really was that generous.
Steffy had to get to work, but she reiterated that Thomas wouldn’t sabotage his second chance as she headed out.
Since Liam stayed so long at Steffy’s place, he showed up late to Il Giardino.
Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) pointed out that he had to handle their planned business meeting himself and wondered why Liam bailed.
Liam admitted he was with Steffy and that time got away from him as they were talking about Thomas.
Wyatt warned that if this was going to throw Liam off his game, they needed to figure something out since quarterlies were coming up.
Liam said Steffy gave him assurance about Thomas being in a good place, so he hoped that meant Thomas would keep his head on straight.
Wyatt decided to forgive Liam for being late to their meeting by finally allowing him to order lunch.
At Forrester Creations on Wednesday’s B&B episode, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) faced more of Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) pressure to join the family business, but Thomas piped up that RJ had his own impressive stuff going on.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) thought Ridge should just be happy that RJ was home, so Ridge insisted that he was.
Thomas acknowledged that there was a place at the company if RJ wanted it and that it was just as much RJ’s birthright.
RJ said he appreciated that, but there was still some awkward tension.
In an effort to ease that tension, RJ eventually pulled Thomas aside and said they should have a little talk.
Thomas knew this was about the terrible things he did since he hurt both families, but he promised not to do anything like that again.
RJ hoped that was true and didn’t want to get involved in any family drama now that he was home. That said, RJ still felt the need to put Thomas on notice.
After RJ said he couldn’t let Thomas mess around with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), Ridge and Hope, Thomas understood and hoped this meant they were good.
RJ replied that they were and shook hands with Thomas.
Soon after, Thomas and RJ shared a more lighthearted moment about the strange friendship that had developed between Brooke and Taylor, which RJ wanted to see for himself.
Although Thomas knew they hadn’t been close lately, he told RJ that he hoped to change that and spend more time together.
When Steffy arrived, she mentioned hearing about some big surprise thanks to Charlie Webber (Dick Christie).
Steffy soon realized RJ was the surprise and pulled him into a big hug.
After Steffy noticed that Ridge was all lit up, she said he must be so happy to have his son back. Steffy added “no offense, Thomas” – though he insisted none was taken.
Once RJ said Steffy was still a rockstar, she said they needed RJ’s energy around there and asked what brought this adventure seeker back to LA.
RJ said he planned to stick around to spend time with his family, so Steffy thought that was excellent news.
Ridge came up with the idea of having all his kids and their mothers in a picture together, so everyone got on board.
Although Hope wasn’t Ridge’s daughter, he said she’d been part of his family for a long time, so he wanted her in the picture, too.
Ridge took a moment to acknowledge this beautiful, blended family and said he wouldn’t change a thing before snapping a pic of everyone gathered behind him.
