The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Wednesday, March 1 – Finn’s Promotion Opportunity - Hope Fears Line Cancelled

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 1, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) reflected on what a helpful, independent kid Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) was.

After Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) texted to ask about Douglas, Steffy admitted she felt terrible for Hope since she was getting more and more anxious about when her son would come home.

There were also concerns about Hope’s line, which was struggling without Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

The timing couldn’t be worse, but Steffy knew Hope for the Future was underperforming.

Finn asked if Steffy was going to pull the line, but Steffy said she’d look at the numbers and go from there.

However, Steffy admitted she was worried about how Hope would react to all this.

Once Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) dropped Beth Spencer (Jordyn Lynn Ariza) off at a friend’s house, he comforted Hope since she was really hurting without Douglas at the cabin.

Liam reassured Hope that Douglas would come back, but she was terrified that he’d realize he was happier at Steffy’s place and would want to stay.

Liam insisted that Douglas loved Hope as much as she loved him – and that would bring him home.

Although Liam said Steffy would keep Douglas safe and protect him in the meantime, Hope still felt that Douglas belonged there at the cabin with them.

Liam then wondered if anything else was going on with Hope since she seemed a little “internal.”

Hope said she’d been under a lot of stress lately between the Douglas situation and having Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) running around.

Plus, Hope for the Future wasn’t doing too well.

Liam said Hope didn’t have to go through it alone and assured her that she could talk to him about anything.

Hope just needed Douglas to come home and for her line to rebound successfully so her life could go back to the way it was.

At the hospital, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) stopped by Finn’s office since she happened to be on his floor.

After Li talked about all the positive buzz about Finn, she said he’d be in the running for head of the department at this rate.

Finn said that would be a tremendous honor – one that Finn deserved according to Li.

Nevertheless, Finn didn’t want to get ahead of himself since there were a lot of other qualified candidates that had been at the hospital longer than him.

That said, Finn had been putting in the work at a great personal sacrifice since he’d rather be home with Steffy more.

Li hoped it wasn’t causing issues, but Finn insisted that no one understood work demands more than Steffy.

At Forrester Creations on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) found an envelope with his name on it along with a wrapped gift.

Once Carter opened the card, he realized it was a “thank you” for 10 years at the company.

After Carter flashed back to some business-related moments over the years, Eric Forrester (John McCook) congratulated him in person.

Carter opened the gift box and found an engraved clock, so he knew just where to put it on his desk.

Once Carter and Eric sat down to work, they talked about how Forrester Creations was flourishing in every department except for Hope for the Future.

Since Hope’s line was underperforming, there were concerns about sustainability.

After Steffy arrived, she looked at the latest numbers and said they couldn’t let personal feelings dictate business decisions.

Changes needed to be made to Hope for the Future. It was time to do what was best for Forrester Creations, even if it hurt Hope.

When Hope accidentally interrupted the meeting, Steffy invited her in since what they were discussing affected her, too.

Hope felt that her line would rebound, but she quickly worried Steffy and the others might not agree.

Steffy admitted that with the numbers dipping so low, they couldn’t allow it to continue bleeding like this.

It wasn’t sustainable or good for business, so Steffy said they needed to take action.

As Hope processed the bad news, she wondered what Steffy was saying and asked if she was thinking of cutting Hope for the Future.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope will nervously await the fate of her line, so stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
