The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Wednesday, March 22 – Stephen’s Furious Phone Call – Ridge Hides Plan

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 22, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about his plan to propose marriage to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) – though he obviously had no intention of marrying her.

Even so, Bill felt that he could prey on Sheila’s warped love for him and make her see him as a permanent protector.

Ridge was skeptical, but Bill felt that popping the question would make Sheila view this as a forever commitment and would get her to confess.

Bill also revealed that he planned to get the engagement ring on the way home and make this proposal happen today.

That left Bill eager to make sure Sheila traded her ring for handcuffs soon.

When Bill returned to Sheila, he hinted about having some tricks up his sleeve and made another big speech about how much she’d changed his life.

Bill talked about their fast connection on the beach that night and all they’d done for each other.

Sheila pointed out that she sometimes had no idea what Bill was thinking, so he acted like it was just in his nature to be withdrawn at times.

However, Bill felt that Sheila needed action and wanted to show her that she belonged there by his side.

While Bill put on a show, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) welcomed Stephen Logan (Patrick Duffy) and Lucy (Linda Purl) to Forrester Creations for a surprise visit on Wednesday’s B&B episode.

That led to some talk about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), the CPS call drama and how Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) almost married Ridge.

Brooke didn’t hold that against Taylor, so Stephen marveled over his daughter’s friendship with her former rival.

Although Stephen and Lucy approved of Brooke and Taylor choosing themselves, Ridge’s behavior got Stephen all agitated.

Considering everything that was going on – especially the news of Sheila’s freedom – Stephen fumed over Ridge going off to lick his wounds somewhere when he should be there protecting his family.

After Stephen decided to give Ridge a piece of his mind, he called Ridge on the phone to lash out at him.

Ridge insisted he had a lot on his plate and didn’t have time to talk, but he assured Stephen that he would protect the people he loved.

Once Ridge disconnected abruptly, Stephen was even more annoyed.

When Stephen turned his attention back to Brooke, he wondered about Ridge’s current location.

Brooke only knew that Ridge was away and that he claimed to be doing something important for the family, so she seemed to have faith in him.

Back with Ridge and the FBI agent, they watched Bill propose to Sheila on the surveillance equipment.

Sheila marveled over the ring Bill had chosen as he got down on one knee and urged her to be Mrs. Bill Spencer.

Bill suggested they should have no more secrets between them and asked Sheila to marry him, so she seemed overwhelmed at the thought of becoming his wife.

In the design office, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) acted like she was looking out for Hope for the Future by inquiring about Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) feelings for Thomas.

Since Hope said she thought Thomas was hot, Steffy wanted her to be realistic about working with someone she was attracted to.

Hope acknowledged that Thomas was attractive, but she felt like plenty of women at the company would agree.

Steffy pointed out those other women didn’t share a child with Thomas or a complicated history with him, but Hope stood her ground.

Hope made it clear that she was committed to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and that she only brought Thomas back on board for the sake of her line.

Although Hope knew Steffy’s heart was in the right place, she insisted there was no need for concern.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope and Thomas’ working relationship could lead to trouble if Steffy’s fears are any indication, so stay tuned for updates on what’s in store.
