The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Wednesday, May 17 – Deacon & Brooke’s Flirting Inspires Taylor’s Matchmaking

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 17, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) told Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about his jam-packed day since he was headed to the prison for a visit with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).

After Finn said Sheila had been reaching out through letters and emails, he added that she was requesting to see him as her doctor, too.

Finn understood this was blatant manipulation and just wanted to make it clear to Sheila that she had no place in their lives.

In jail on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Sheila was disappointed over Mike Guthrie (Ken Hanes) being her visitor since she wanted to see Finn or Jack Finnegan (Ted King) instead.

After Sheila offered updates on her attempt to score Jack as a defense attorney, she admitted her magic didn’t work on him.

Mike guessed Sheila was stuck with him then, but Sheila warned that wouldn’t be the case for long.

Sheila felt she deserved to be free and played up her connection to Finn as well as Hayes Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris).

Next, Sheila lit up over the good news when Finn came to see her. After Sheila pointed out that Finn could’ve left her on the table to die, Finn said he wouldn’t do that to his worst enemy.

Sheila insisted that Finn fought for her and brought her back. That connected them spiritually in Sheila’s opinion since they gave each other life, so she thanked Finn for saving her.

At Forrester Creations, RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) met with Eric Forrester (John McCook) to ask about Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and whether she was really doing OK with the single life.

RJ wasn’t sure if Brooke would ever truly be at peace until she reunited with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), but Eric thought Brooke was the one RJ should be asking.

However, Eric was impressed with RJ for being sensitive for Brooke’s feelings and told him that he was a good soul before they embraced.

When Steffy arrived, she got the feeling that she walked in on something. Eric left for a meeting while RJ explained how he was asking about Brooke, who acted carefree but had been through a lot.

Although RJ didn’t want to trash Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Steffy pointed out that he was entitled to his feelings.

RJ insisted he would give Thomas an opportunity to change, but that didn’t erase how Thomas upended Brooke’s entire life.

At Il Giardino, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) ate lunch with Brooke and assured her that Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W. Chambers) wasn’t working today, so she wouldn’t try to set them up again.

Brooke pointed out that she needed to be with somebody she knew, trusted and had a history with.

Moments later, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) came over and started flirting, so a light bulb went off in Taylor’s head. Taylor continued to watch Deacon and Brooke as they interacted playfully with each other.

Brooke and Deacon also talked about making an awesome human being together, so Taylor noted that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) was the best of both of them.

After Brooke got a text about work, she announced that she had to get back to the office. Deacon joked that he hated to see Brooke go, but he loved to watch her leave!

Once Deacon was alone with Taylor, he mentioned how Brooke didn’t judge him for being a screwup back in the day. Taylor insisted that Deacon had made huge strides and added that Brooke could see that.

That led to Taylor asking if maybe the timing was just right now that Ridge was out of the picture.

Taylor insisted this could be an opportunity for Deacon to have a shot at a life with Brooke, so he seemed intrigued.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Taylor’s matchmaking efforts are destined to fail, but Deacon will have a lot to think about!
