The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Friday, December 22, reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and the others will have some hope now that Eric Forrester (John McCook) has shown some signs of life.
Eric’s eyes have been fluttering a bit, so Ridge, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) now have something positive to cling to.
Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) seem hopeful as well, but there are still no guarantees about what happens next.
Finn and Bridget are in agreement that Eric needs to come off the ventilator due to risks of pneumonia and all sorts of other issues.
It could be now or never as far as Finn’s concerned, so he’ll stress the importance of this on Friday’s episode.
Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) has been in the chapel, but she’ll hopefully return and become part of this crucial conversation soon.
However, it all comes down to Ridge since he’s got medical power of attorney and remains in charge of Eric’s decisions.
B&B spoilers say Eric will lose consciousness again as he relies on machines to survive, so all that eye fluttering doesn’t mean he’ll wake up just yet.
It was just a glimmer of hope that Ridge and the others will try to work with.
As Ridge prepares to give the green light on taking Eric off the ventilator, he’ll think back on happier times.
Some warm memories will be shared before Ridge presumably gives Finn permission to take Eric off life support.
Of course, this could be a pretty high-stakes situation once Ridge leaves Eric’s fate in his own hands.
If Eric can’t breathe on his own, Ridge may insist they need to respect his wishes and let him pass over to the other side permanently.
Friday’s cliffhanger may involve Eric’s loved ones gathered around his bedside as they wait to see if he’ll survive after the plug’s pulled.
