The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, February 24, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) remained upset over Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and the whole guardianship situation, but she eventually changed the subject during her conversation with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) at the cabin.
When Hope revealed that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was dating again, Liam was taken aback.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) arrived moments later and admitted she just came from the main house, where she’d helped Brooke get ready for her big date tonight.
The news surprised Liam as he realized this date was actually in progress.
Taylor said it could be the first of many, but Hope mentioned the age difference and just wanted to make sure Brooke wasn’t taken advantage of in any way.
After Taylor offered reassurance and left, Hope told Liam that Brooke needed to be with someone she was already comfortable with – like Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) or even Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) if he got his act together.
Liam suggested that none of Brooke’s usual love interests were really available now, so Hope mulled over who might be a good match for her mom that she already had a bond with.
At Brooke’s place on Friday’s B&B episode, she laughed over Paul “Hollis” Hollister’s (Hollis W. Chambers) horror stories from Il Giardino, but he wanted to talk about her work and life instead.
After Brooke and Hollis moved from the table to the couch, Brooke discussed the bedroom fashion show, her chemistry degree and the belief formula.
Hollis was impressed and eventually leaned in as he played with Brooke’s hair.
Once Hollis mentioned something about chemistry, he kissed Brooke – and she kissed back before ultimately pulling away.
Hollis asked what was wrong, so Brooke let him down gently by saying this had been lovely and that he was a great guy.
That let Hollis know the date was over, so Brooke admitted this was a strange time for her since she was trying to figure out what she wanted out of life.
Brooke wasn’t sure she was ready for dating, so Hollis assured Brooke that he understood.
Hollis thought maybe they could still hang out as friends and hoped to see Brooke again soon. After Hollis hugged Brooke, he headed out to his car.
Since Taylor was leaving the cabin when she saw Hollis drive away from the main house, she made her way upstairs and found Brooke in her pajamas.
Taylor asked if Brooke was OK, so Brooke admitted nothing was wrong with Hollis and that they shared a “dark good kiss.”
However, Brooke confessed to not being ready and said she couldn’t take things any further.
After Brooke admitted she didn’t want to take the time to get to know someone, she asked if that was so terrible.
Taylor assured Brooke that it wasn’t and agreed about wanting to be with someone familiar who liked them for them.
Brooke said she didn’t want to sleep with a man she just met, so Taylor joked about Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) doing a happy dance right now.
Kidding aside, Taylor felt the same way.
When Brooke asked if Taylor could imagine any man out there she’d want to be with for the rest of her life, Taylor said no.
That left Brooke worried they’d just be alone and would never get to have that kind of affection ever again.
Taylor insisted that wasn’t true and hugged Brooke since she wasn’t going anywhere.
In fact, Taylor offered to stay there tonight, so she suggested Brooke could loan her some PJs and that they could enjoy funny movies over popcorn.
Brooke and Taylor talked about knowing and trusting each other as they shared a warm moment.
With tears in their eyes, Taylor and Brooke were pleased to be such dear friends. After Brooke and Taylor touched each other’s faces tenderly, they embraced.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Taylor and Brooke’s bond is growing stronger, so stay tuned for updates on whether they’ll actually enter romantic territory.
