The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) romance is rolling right along at the moment. Carter has really swept Katie off her feet, so they’re enjoying their growing bond and all the happiness it brings them.
However, Katie and Carter will have to face some big obstacles sooner or later. B&B fans know there always seems to be another health crisis in the works for Katie, so that’s something to keep in mind.
It’s been a common theme over the years, so it’s reasonable to assume more medical drama’s ahead for Katie at some point.
Every now and then, the show likes to have Katie knocking on death’s door so that Heather Tom can score herself another Daytime Emmy nomination!
Last December, Katie was a nervous wreck over her cardiology test results.
Carter could tell Katie needed support, so he crashed her appointment and was by her side when she got good news.
It was a relief when Katie learned there were no heart transplant rejection signs, but we’ve all seen how quickly things can change on B&B.
Just because Katie got positive updates then doesn’t mean she’ll get the same outcome at her next appointment.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) previously wasn’t attracted to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) at all, but now he’s all she can think about! Stories often shift with fresh angles to keep things moving.
As a result, Katie’s heart might end up showing some transplant rejection signs after all.
Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) suggested Katie was a walking miracle, so how well Katie’s doing defies logic anyway.
It’d be easy for the writers to change it up and have Katie experience some new medical trouble.
It might be fitting since there’s been a lot of talk about whether Katie would have a change of heart and go back to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).
What if Katie literally has a change of heart – meaning her heart condition takes a turn for the worse?
It could leave Katie clinging to Bill as someone who’s been by her side through medical ordeals in the past.
This could also bring Will Spencer (last played by Finnegan George) home, so they could age him up a bit to put the recast in a love triangle with RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) and some lucky lady.
There’d be some value in giving Bill and Katie’s family some new material, so a health crisis might be the key to kicking that off.
Bottom line, it’s too soon to declare Carter the winner of this Katie war with Bill, who’s made it clear that he’s not giving up without a fight. If Katie has some medical woes eventually, Bill might wind up being the one who’s there for her.
