The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Monday, January 16, reveals that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) marveled over loving Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and having him love her back. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) were appalled as they kept trying to get through to Bill.
Sheila felt that they’d all made mistakes and brought up Taylor’s shooting guilt, which Bill kept quiet about and forgave her for.
Now Sheila thought they could all just move on and live their lives.
However, Taylor refused to accept the situation and pointed out that she could confess to the cops.
Although Taylor would lose everything, it’d be better than allowing Bill’s blackmail and Sheila’s freedom.
Steffy urged Taylor to stop blaming herself over the shooting since she was protecting her daughter.
Taylor insisted she was protecting Steffy now, but Steffy argued that Bill bought the judge and reminded Taylor that her confession might not even make a difference.
Sheila said she didn’t want Taylor to land behind bars and brought up the fact that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) really needed his mom’s guidance from what she’d heard.
Taylor warned Sheila not to talk about her son and wasn’t buying the idea that Sheila had changed.
Bill assured Taylor that Sheila wouldn’t be a threat, so Sheila agreed with him – especially now that she had everything she ever wanted.
Sheila gave Bill a kiss as Taylor and Steffy stood there looking disgusted.
Once they were alone, Sheila talked to Bill about Taylor threatening to turn herself in. Bill assured Sheila that if something came up, then they would figure it out together.
At the cliff house on Monday’s B&B episode, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) gave Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) updates on Bill’s blackmail – though he didn’t go into the details.
Carter and Katie also got the news that Bill was in a relationship with Sheila, so they were shocked.
Katie struggled to believe it was true, but Steffy joined the conversation and insisted it was.
As Katie tried to wrap her head around all this, she decided she had to see Bill right away.
Carter was concerned about Katie going over there alone, but she said she’d handle Sheila and felt she had to go on her own.
Later, Taylor reflected on losing control the night she shot Bill, but Steffy pushed her to stop dwelling on it.
Steffy and Taylor told Finn about Bill professing his love for Sheila, so they all worried about her controlling and destroying him.
Back at Bill’s place, Katie confronted her ex about helping Sheila get off the hook and pushed for an explanation about the blackmail. After bringing up Will Spencer (last played by Finnegan George), Katie wondered how Bill was going to explain any of this to him.
Katie couldn’t imagine letting Sheila anywhere near their child and tried to help Bill understand the danger.
Although Katie was sorry she hadn’t helped Bill before now, she couldn’t accept this and felt it was crazy for him to be in a relationship with Sheila.
Katie acknowledged that Bill was depressed, sad and lonely, but she vowed to help him and insisted he didn’t have to turn to someone like Sheila.
After Katie warned that Bill couldn’t allow Sheila into his life and home, Sheila appeared and said Katie was too late.
Now that Katie has passed up the greatest man alive, Sheila marked her territory by insisting Bill was the love of her life – and she was the love of Bill’s.
Katie pushed Bill to listen and argued that Sheila wasn’t capable of love.
After warning Bill to get Sheila out of his life, Katie begged him to say he’d do whatever it took to send Sheila back to prison where she belonged.
